I've seen very good THFs outparse very good WAR/NINs at Colibris by a large margin, so I don't doubt that one with a Mandau can outparse one with a Ridill there.

At any other camp, though, I'd have to see it to believe it.

For example, let me show you these numbers:

    Colibri camp:
    THF/NIN - 25.91%
    WAR/NIN - 23.78%

The SAME THF and the SAME WAR at Caedarva a couple days later:

    THF/NIN - 18.91%
    WAR/NIN - 25.12%

This is a WAR with Woody/Maneater and a THF with Blau/Sirocco. Both highly meritted with all the good shit, Haidate, Hauby+1 versus Homam and Dragon +1, and so on.

On a completely different note, my DRK/SAM's numbers in the two parties: 26.65% at Colibri and 27.81% at Caedarva. ^_~

Anyway, to be perfectly honest, if you want to really show which is better, you should go to D. Weapons where neither class has any bonus or penalty on the mobs, and kill like 500 of them to get an accurate data set (though most people would probably pass out before you get to that number <_<).

Well, if the war has hate most of the time, you have to also take into account how many times they lose tp from feather tickle.

In that party, my DRK/SAM had hate almost the entire time. Seigan ftw.

    Why would I go for 9-10k/hr when I can make 20k ?

I've hit chain 450+ at Mamool Ja Staging Point camp before, but I think people were excited enough at a new camp that offers such potential that they didn't fall asleep. lol

However, I have not been able to repeat such an experience, though it's still possible to get good chains there.

    Highest I've done was 323 on PLD/NIN.

Doesn't amnesia from imps hurt thf alot more than war?
The latent from blau goes inactive when youre over 100tp and amnesia prevents thf from using that tp. The same with maneater is true but the dps loss on blau is 3x the loss on maneater.
Losing out on sneak and trick attack that gives around or above 500 damage a hit on a decently geared thf hurts the thf.
Was the Thf using bomb core which would affect only him only or acid bolts which would affect the whole party equally?
Dancing edge only gets an accuracy bonus with tp which is a joke vs an enhanced critical rate with rampage.(stupid amnesia forcing you to not use tp)
Sneak attack can generate more hate than voke in my experience and if the dot on a thf is high enough vs the other dd the thf can endup tanking as opposed to a war until trick attack timers are ready meaning less ichi casting on the war.(just my experience. ignore this if you want to)

Just some things I'd like to point out about that place which is a hellhole when it's packed 99% of the time.
Imps aren't the only things killed in mire so the amnesia based arguments are just grasping at straws I guess.

You guys are the experts here you so go argue about that crap so I can learn from it.

Colibri camp gives two huge advantage to thf's over other melee.

    1. piercing damage.

    2. being able to plant hate on other people allowing you to prevent your food from being stolen which is why I think that parse plays in the thf's favor @ that camp. I mean if the other melee stops using their food after blowing through a stack in 10mins.

Point 2 is also useless because if noone else has food you bet your ass a THF with food will rip hate doing the amount of damage seen in those parses and as a result lose the food.

I almost never use TA anymore in parties, seriously I bet my last 2 hour merit pt (at 21k/hour and me winning parse) I used TA less than 5 times, most of those in the first few minutes. And I don't stack ws with it, though I will once Mandau is done.

Well, it takes time to use the food. Might not be much, but overtime it adds up.

Therin's parses don't really makes sense b/c you fight a decent share of piercing weak shit in Mire. Needs some explanation.

And not trying to knock DRKs (I have it at 75 as well) or the two guys you pt'd with, but uh.... you might be overestimating how good they are if you're easily beating them on drk/sam like that.

Yeah thats a pretty weird parse in the mire, thf do really well there. Did the food being used change in the pt in the mire?

The Colibri camp really does favor jobs that don't pull hate often. Snatch Morsel isn't so bad, but Feather Tickle can really hurt TP gain.

I have my parser count WSs so I can see how fast everyone's gaining TP. It's a pretty reliable indicator when everyone's using their WS as soon as they can.

Point 2 was based upon a thf being able to do much more damage than another DD because they can use use good food while the other DD cant use any food(or if theyre smart some disposable kabobs).
However in that situation considering the emnity gained from even sneak attack is higher than that of provoke a thf would also gain hate easier thanks to enhanced dot from either the acc of sushi (aka not whiffing) or the atk and str boost from meat.
If you're doing a larger amount of DOT than the tank then you probably have hate. If you have hate youre going to lose the food.
Is it so hard to beleive that a job at the top of the parser by a large margin might actually get hate? If a job with a damage bonus and far better food than those they are competing against can't get hate for any period of time then they are gimp as hell.

Ive heard the latent for this was no active food. I remember thinking months before colibri camp how it would be nice to have those if there was a meripo camp with colibri. Somewhat job limited but has anyone tried these on colibri before?
