You said it took a relic and 25% damage to 'compete'. By those very words, if my understanding of the english language is correct, and I'd like to think it is, that would mean that the very parse above would have me doing +/- 1% from the 'pimped out wars', not 10%, and on neutral mobs the pimped out wars would dominate.
They are your neutral mobs. Nice tight level spread, nice and soft, and no need to pull two different mob types to keep chains alive. Go get some numbers and find out if it's 1% or 10%. Try and bring more that just one good WAR too so people share tanking a bit. Alternatively parse Evades and hits taken to show you're getting equal face time with the mob.

You'll break 10k too, it's not like there's any competition for Decos any more.

If you can make 20-25k an hour, who cares if you are the highest DDer?

Ok then, you go test out the statement. I'm not jewing my friends out of 10-15k/hr because some people have their panties in a twist about a thief outparsing people.

Seems to me you just want to stick with your e-peen +25% damage on Colibris.

    I'll do mamooks or trolls...

but why settle for 9-10k/hr when I can do 15k on trolls/mamooks or 20-25 on colibri ??

I don't believe that a Mandau THF/anything can outparse an extremely good Ridill WAR on non-piercing weak mobs. On piercing weak mobs, absolutely. On regular mobs I personally can come extremely close, but if the WAR is at the top of his game he's going to beat me by about 15-20% (which works out to about 2-3% in a parse).

Extremely good Ridill WAR is currently the -only- job I've found that can consistently outparse me on non piercing weak mobs. Black Belt MNKs with Haidate and D. Body can come close, but it's usually either a tie or I'm slightly ahead. Ryokshet could probably outparse me with his relic GK

If someone is getting 15-25k xp an hour, why would they possibly want to check how much they are contributing to the party?

Assuming you're on the lower end of damage, are you going to kick yourself from the party for holding them back? I doubt it. And if you're on the higher end of the parse, I know I usually am, am I going to kick weaker members when I'm breaking 20k an hour? No.

On the other hand, it might give you information for NEXT TIME, so you can increase that 25k/hour to 26k/hour.

    If the parse is like:

    30% - me
    28% Person 2
    21% - Person 3
    21% - Person 4

I may not invite Person 3 and Person 4 next time, instead opting to get someone who can put out more DoT

If your party is making 20-25k an hour, you must likely are performing the best you can with your gear.

That doesnt always work, because its very possible that there is a theoretical cap, kinda like Deco's wont be more than 9-10k / hr.

If you start killing faster, that means you're getting a smaller window per mob to get TP, thus you WS less...or something like that. It made sense in my head, but I've only been awake about 20 min

Original point once again is if you want me to jew myself and 5 friends of mine because your epeen is hurt about a thief out parsing people, you can go take the 10-15k/hr xp hit. I allready have very little time to xp/merit as it is, I'm taking advantage of what I can get.

In a party like that making 27k/hr no one's going to be ashamed they lost (it was the PLD/NIN btw <_<), but we could have easily pushed it higher had there been another DD of our caliber there (though honestly I'm more just getting a kick out of how worked up 1 sentence got someone).

You can get 12k+ an hour at front weapon camp if both rooms are open. Just gotta know how to pull them. Leave one of the weapons in the center room so when you switch rooms, you'll have a chainer there. I do still hate meritting there, my favorite place is a great ulle party. Ive still yet to merit at the colibri camp, i don't get around to meritting very much anymore

You also could have pushed it up if the RNG hadn't gimped your exp by using Namas Arrow.

I guess the question is that if you are getting 25k+ an hour, how much more would a 'higher calibur' damage dealer add, given that you are getting ridiculous chains anyway.

Those are definitely not scout's pants, he's on SAM/WAR with soboro and yoichi. 1600 damage namas arrows every 5-8 seconds that dont pull hate is honestly about as high as you're gonna get there in terms of damage output with no consequences. His ranger wears an entirely different set of gear, more focused on ranged attack than accuracy (not exactly skimping on either really). Bongo (Demyn) is a lot of things, but gimp isn't one of them.

I wouldnt be surprised if he did, I haven't downloaded a parser since fixing my PC and getting XI installed again. Only 2 people have actually outparsed me while I had it, juvant on WAR/NIN and ergheiz (or however you spell it) on MNK/WAR. The first is a no brainer, juvant's as pimp a warrior as they come. The second was my fault for using the wrong food for an hour and I did eventually catch up 2 hours later ._.
