watching the video now. Yeah it's shitty that Mencia (and others) steal jokes, but in the end they're the ones making bill because they make it sound funnier when they put a little acting into it. I can see why some of you guys are really offended by it though.

Except its not their own work. Most comics think of their material as almost an art. If someone else took credit for an artist's piece then that is looked down upon, and it should be for comedy as well.

It's unfortunate that many people are oblivious to the fact that many comics steal jokes, whereas in other fields it can be obvious.

They had Rodney Dangerfield, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, and (young) Eddie Murphy. We get the uncreative morons who rip off those aforementioned legends.

Dane Cook is annoying an annoying "I'm gonna keep repeating a stupid line over and over again" style which works well for frat boys and their girlfriends. Carlos Mencia is funny to anybody who doesn't really listen to a lot of comedy, since he steals jokes from comedians that most of his fans have never heard of.

The thing that instantly 'irked' me about "Carlos Mencia" aside from his horrible mannerisms and voice was one bit he did on his terrible show.

He started talking shit about skinny white dudes with tattoos. He starts asking the audience for any scrawny white guys had tattoos and one raises his hand. It's this very white, very skinny, balding, timid white guy and "Carlos" asks to see it and he rolls up the sleeve on his heather grey t-shirt to reveal an even whiter bicept with a horrible tribal tattoo around it and "Carlos" proceeded to bash on him as hard as he could. OK... it would have been no big deal if the audience member that stood up wasn't Todd Louiso. An actor. His entire joke revolved making fun of an audience member who happened to match the description he mentioned. A fucking obscure actor with a fake tribal tattoo. Alright Carlos! Top notch comedy.

I understand it's a recorded show and all, and not some live stand-up, but that's sad that is material that is prime enough to be on his Comedy Central show. (Murder whoever gave him that show please.)
