Can't go wrong with the people who made Ico and SoTC.
Could you imagine next-gen SoTC graphics? Granted graphics were never something I focus on, but SoTC had such visual style it made the game even more impressive.

Same here but on the other hand, God Hand is definitely worth the money. God Hand is one of the games that I like the corny CS throughout the game.Originally Posted by Raineer
I think Okami and SOTC would be the top runners for best visuals in a game ever, right alongside the Final Fantasy games. I played SOTC, maybe a year or two after it came out, and was just honestly flabbergasted at how amazing it looked. Every little thing was so detailed and just beautifully realisitc. Plus, that game was so much fun.Originally Posted by Elcura

Since alot of Clover games were for GC I could see them coming out for Wii, but alot were for PS2, so they could be developing for PS3/XBOX360. I can't even imagine what the graphics would be like on a PS3...it'd just be breath-taking. The controls probably not as nice as they could be on a wii. But graphically speaking wii graphics wouldn't make you "zomg" as much as they would on a PS3. That's sadHopefulyl if the games DO come out for ps3 they'll be in a few years when the price on the system has dropped.
Okami is a beautiful, beautiful game.
I'd rather they develop for the Wii, since not only would they be sure to make great use of the controller, the system would let them focus almost entirely on gameplay, and not have to spend too many resources on graphics.
If every game they made was only as good looking as Okami, I'd be happy.
I honestly couldn't care what the games came out on as long as they did. I'd love another SoTC-esque game with either new Wii Controls (interesting) or normal controls but great visuals...ahh, this game is the only game I'm torn about graphics vs gameplay...infact, the whole studio is like that too, Okami wouldn't be as impressive if it wasn't for the strong visual style, makes you think there is a point in graphics - to immerse you.
Forgive me, but I am not able to decipher what SoTC is.

You guys realize that Capcom owns the rights to Clover Studio's games right, not Seeds? So unless Capcom wants to bring on a new team to port or make a new Okami for the Wii, it's not happening. Unless Capcom sells the rights to Seeds. O_o
When Okami came out I tried my damnest to show people the game, people just weren't receptive to it, it felt exactly like Wind Waker. Someone would come in and ask for a good action/adventure or Zelda style game and I'd go right to Okami, rave about it, etc and the only response I'd get from people was "Eh. . . looks, colorful. WHOA, how much is (random shit game)?" *stagger*
Auspice, they are not talking about making new games which were licensed by Capcom like Okami 2, VJ, SoTC, etc etc.Originally Posted by Auspice
This is going to be an entirely new studio, and they are recruting big wigs from not just Clover, but those other studios I mentioned as well.
I know what Auspice means. He's saying unless Capcom sells the rights to these games we're not seeing Okami 2, more Ico-saga games, etc. I understand that, but that doesn't mean SEEDs won't be making games that are just as good, if not better, now that it has many of the best people in the same place.
I'm still super excited about this news. People that didn't play Okami missed out. People that didn't play Ico and SOTC missed out too. I thought the controls on both games were fine, I mean there was a learning curve, but it was fine in the end, and both were stunning graphically.
I'm just seriously hoping the company will make games for Wii so I don't have to shell out for a PS3.
I agree, and I definitely could see them making games for the Wii, since they are all about the innovative side of things.
Ico was made by Clover though? I did not realize that.
No...Ico was made by SCE, so was SOTC. But as you stated in your first post, some of the devs from SOTC have come to work at SEEDs.
Also, is it SEEDS or SEEDs? That's annoying.
The only games Clover made were:
Viewtiful Joe – (2004) (PlayStation 2 - Port from GameCube)
Viewtiful Joe 2 – (2004) (GameCube)
Viewtiful Joe 2 – (2004) (PlayStation 2)
Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble – (2005) (GameCube)
Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble – (2005) (Nintendo DS)
Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble – (2006) (PlayStation Portable)
Ōkami – (2006) (PlayStation 2)
God Hand – (2006) (PlayStation 2)
