Krillin is the exception, purely because he was his friend as a kid when they trained together.

Krillin isn't an exception, Goku kicked the shit out of him in Dragon Ball, then friended.

Overall it's not a bad manga, even if the last 2 months were being dragged out.

Still having fun w/Naruto here.

But honestly, as the manga has gone on it's been less about hard work and more about being born with the proper genes / bijuus if you hope to stand any chance of doing anything other than becoming jutsu fodder. Everyone that currently matters is on the battlefield because they have the ninja equivalent of superpowers. The Konoha teams aren't all dead due to Naruto literally projecting plot armor to save them.

Since friending Kurama things have become so lopsided that even Sasuke can best only provide support. Considering that Bee trashed Sauce, the only way the inevitable fight can be fair is if Naruto intentionally powers down or Madara drops Rinnegans when they beat him. Sasuke is getting the Vegeta treatment here.

Finally catching up on the anime and things are getting awesome. Madara trolling the Kage with the Susanoo clones and Taka/Hebi flashbacks on their adventures with Sauce. It reminds me that Suigetsu is a pretty cool guy and I hope he gets Samehada in the end for all his trouble.

Can't wait for the conclusion of Itachi taking down Kabuto and the episodes where Orochimaru revives the Hokages.

The new opening theme is also pretty bitchin. I could have also used that bijuu/jinchuuriki song years ago, thanks.

Wait, really? I thought they were rivals when they started as Roshi's students and became friends through training? I don't remember a fight between them during that at all -- but then again, it's been years since I've seen it..
