Well, yes.
Well, yes.
I somehow doubt that he would sit by and let them take away his rinne bitch.
Yeah, I'm going to assume that if anyone tried to kill Obito, Zetsu would have surprised them then forced him to revive Madara anyway.
Though that would have been the better way to do things.
You have to assume something like that. Its the shounen way. Shounen law dictates that the only way to progress a story is with the intended method of progression. For every potential non-canon deviation exists a non-canon plothole to cover the deviation and restore it to its original canon point.
Who's he standing on at the end?
Pretty sick chapter considering all the mushy stuff we've had to put up with for a while. And of course, it's because Madara's involved.
Soooo Madara is going to be able to take on all the tailed beasts at once lol?
at this point, it's getting fucking stupid.
This is getting up to Aizen level of shenanigans, only difference is instead of being spaced out over the course of the series it's condensed all into the final battle. Like at least with him it was a constant reminder that no matter how strong people got they probably didn't compare, but these old ninja are just leagues better than the current generation and there wasn't much indication of this great leap in gaps of power before this war. Madara, Senju and probably his bro are just in a ridiculous tier of their own. How did the Leaf not just curb stomp everyone when those 2 clans got together and take over everything? Like seriously.
Really?
Giant meteor's, an army made out of thousands of cloned white tree people, characters killed off within the first couple chapters of the manga being resurrected, super powered eyeballs after super powered eyeballs, giant beasts with immense power getting befriended by some teenager who they think might be the reincarnation of the original super ninja, a fucking creepy pedo snake doode who has been killed multiple times in the past is yet again brought back to life and just as creepy pedo like as ever, a woman who has her body ripped in half, but is sown back together by a giant slug and is now perfectly fine, a boy who spreads his power through an entire army of people by high-5'ing them all, a giant 10-tailed beast that looks like a horribly mutated bulbasaur, a guy with the shittiest backstory for a villain in recent memory absorbing that 10-tailed behemoth getting beaten by the power of friendship, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc
And at this point, just now, after this one chapter, it's getting fucking stupid?
Camaan now, lol.
That being said, regardless of how ridiculous and far-fetched and over the top and boisterous this manga has gotten, I'm still enjoying it for what it is. I don't really expect to get blown away by this manga anymore (I have One Piece for that. That last OP chapter, fucking wow). But Naruto is still enjoyable for me. I don't really have any expectations, I'm just going along for the ride at this point.
Was I the only one who found some pages quite confusing?
nope
Good point.
And what was so confusing about the chapter? Madara was in the process of becoming alive again, Sasuke hit him with Amaterasu, Madara tossed his armour aside and stopped himself from being burned alive.
The Rinnegan/Sharingan Madara had when he was alive was transferred over to Nagato when Madara died. And then stolen back and 1 of the eyes was being used by Obito. So when Madara got his real/living body back, he lost his eyes because he didn't actually have his real ones. So he spent the entire chapter fighting blind and was able to whoop everyone regardless because he's over-powered Madara. He also stole some of Hashirama's Senjutsu chakra which explains how he was able to sense things like Sasuke's fighting movements and even the chakra/style of Sasuke's EMS. And towards the end, it looked like he was even sapping the 9-tails chakra off of the fodder ninja and using it to heal himself up.
I don't think him absorbing chakra was from the rinnegan he once possessed though. It seems like when he bit himself, it was to use some sort of ninjutsu that allowed him to absorb the chakra of his enemies.
I also think the part that may have caused the most confusion was when Hashirama says "did he absorb that jutsu?" near the beginning of the chapter. That part was kind of odd. It makes it seem like Madara absorbed the Amaterasu with the Rinnegan, which he didn't from the looks of it. It could have been in reference to him absorbing the tiger seal justu that Sai used at the end of the last chapter right as he was revived and still had the Rinnegan from his Edo Tensei'd body. But who knows.
Edit: Madara also says something like "Your eyes will suffice" to Sasuke, which I think meant he was considering taking them from Sasuke and using them for himself. But obviously that idea was tossed away stupid quickly.
Overall, it just feels like the chapter had a couple ideas too many tossed into it and Kishi scrapped one or two along the way.
Probably because Hashirama is all about friendship is magic, and Tobirama's brains being a counterbalance for Madara doing anything too stupid while being in the village. How did the Leaf not just curb stomp everyone when those 2 clans got together and take over everything? Like seriously.
Plus, if the past chapters were any indication, they were just fucking tired of war, since they probably had a kunai put in their hands the second they could walk.
Nah, I'm think he's healing himself using Hashirama cells. He made a big deal against Tsunade on how the first hokage could heal himself without even forming lolseals.
I don't think the chapter was stupid per se'. To me the whole war arc in and of itself has already shitted on anything the manga established. It's blatantly obvious Kishi lost any and all direction of where to take the manga after the Pain battle. At least Kubo kept Aizen within the realm of his own bullshit.
Not that it matters on anything but is Sasuke riding on the back of Sai's hawk-o-justice in the beginning?!
