Well, Madara had his paws in affairs in the Mist, so he would've known Kisame through there. Though, it's also possible Madara fought whomever may have taught Guy this technique to begin with. After all, how would he know the 8th gate would kill him? It's gotta have some kind of history to it.

Man, that'd be something. If Kubo was writing this, the 8 gates technique would have been handed down by a sensei that looks exactly like Guy who fought a guy that looked exactly like Kisame and he didn't win because he couldn't handle it.

Its no more annoying than finding out that the big baddies were intentionally fucked over by one or two big bads in order to become big bads themselves. It becomes less annoying when you understand that the cycle of bads intentionally producing bads is what Naruto is trying to end once and for all.

I don't get annoyed when "big bads", who never wanted to be big bads in the first place and were fucked over by other big bads to fufill their own agendas, eventually come to grips with the truth behind their horrible situation that pushed them into becoming a big bad and renounce their big bad allegiance. I get more annoyed at the assholes who mindfucked kids, essentially, but at least said assholes get theirs in the end. About the only asshole in question of whom justice is still up in the air is Orochimaru: I don't know if he's going to face any kind of punishments for all of what he's done, especially concerning Kabuto, who basically understands that Oro intentionally mindfucked him with Danzo and created this false image he had in his head for his entire adult life. With Oro playing the chaotic good role right now, perhaps he'll simply sacrifice his life to save the Sauce or something.

Seriously, we've got a stupid cycle here. I'll spoiler tag it, but we've got Madara fucking over Obito fucking over Nagato fucking over the lives of many people he blew up as Pein. We have Oro fucking over Kabuto fucking over everyone he's come in contact with, basically. So far we have no real justification of Madara getting fucked over by anyone aside from his family dying because humans fight over petty shit. Oro's only known "fuck over" was his parents being dead as a result of the war, but Oro was probably a sociopath from birth, so its not like needed a particular push.

Madara and Guy saw each other because they fought each other. Guy, Gaara (I think?), Naruto, and Kakashi fought Obito and Madara for a short time before Obito absorbed the Juubi.
