motherfucking bullshit episode. I try to give the anime a chance every week, but the pacing is really really really grating on me now. half the episode was flashback.

I think tobi is gonna retreat as soon as he hears the fight is over, why would he stick around he is only playing with them.

But shino might stick a bug on him and they might track where he is going and they may find sasuke. Who knows they might get there heal sasuke and then he may ask them to heal itatchi because sasuke knows he wasn't using his true strength. He told his team to not kill if they could avoid it. Bad guys don't give orders like that. Like was said, he just felt that for him to be able to surpass Itachi he needed to be in a different environment than Konoha, that's not necessarily the case anymore.

It was all a plan to get Sasuke to kill (or think he killed) the person he liked most, which was Itachi all along even though he killed the clan. So Sasuke is gonna wake up with Mangekyou and see Itachi standing above him and he will be like 'you got punked bitch' and then take his super eyes.

I'm curious about what Zetsu said along the lines of Itachi "not being his true self" and that he might have had an injury prior to the fight to be throwing up blood like he was. I'm wondering if somehow Itachi and Madara are connected somehow, more than just being relatives. Like... if Tobi gets hit (as we saw, Rasengan went through him) it transfers to Itachi? Who the fuck knows lol. As many twists as there has been, something like that wouldn't surprise me anymore.

anyone remember when chiyo, naruto, kakashi, and sakura run into itachi on the way to save gaara? that wasnt itachi, that was one of those sand ninja that itachi used as a body. i'm guessing it's some similar technique at work here. although last time the body was revealed as a sand ninja, he just got straight up beat to shit with that oodama rasengan.his chakra ran out here, he may not be "dead" yet. or enough time hasn't passed for itachi's image to fade away and the real corpse to show up. if it's not the same technique, it has to be something similar. otherwise why would they show zetsu saying that isn't itachi's full power? though he did mention something about itachi possibly sustaining an injury prior to this battle...wonder wtf that's about.
