Waiting to hear why history remembers Rikudo Sennin and not his brother.

Hey chapter was alright. Baby tailed beasts is kinda pushing it (but its cute) and the ninshuu power ranger is boss. He even looks like a toad/fox (on the head)
Spoiler: show
I was pretty annoyed that he said wherever his mother came from was no big deal when it clearly is. Felt like a Kubo chapter with all the pretentious self-enlightened bullshit spewed in it.
Well he did say he was an alien of sorts.
HES INSIDE YOU NARUTO HES INSIDE YOU
I don't know if it was the early translation or what but the conversation confused me... Was he speaking a different language or were the words just to big for Naruto?
Couldn't get past Ashura looking just like Sauce. Really driving it in eh Kishi?
My biggest problem with the chapter was that the sons are going through the same regurgitated premise for the upteenth time in this manga, and Kishi feels he has to explain the situation as if it were unique and we're seeing it for the first time. It's damn near comical at this point, and hard to be taken seriously. Plus they interrupted some eight gate beatdowns for this.
Heh..we'll go back to Guy being already beaten off screen <.<'
stop me if you've heard this one...

It's not needed, period. The manga is not benefiting from us hearing this same story repeated ad naseum. Was the backstory of why Madara grew up into the asshole he is now not enough? We are literally adding layers to this already dragged on arc that aren't needed, adding questions for no reason at all while answering none that are around. Holy shit, Kishi is a fucking asshole.
Not only are they interrupting Guys beautiful finale, but the manga would be perfectly fine if Obito just gave Naruto the chakra and he woke up and went on his way. There is literally no need for the Sot6P to made a sudden appearance, all but tell us his mother is an alien, and all of ninjutsu is pretty much alien juju left behind by her campaign of ownage. What the fucking fuck is going on here? And don't even get me started on why the hell half a chapter was devoted to Naruto and Sot6P going back and forth on dialect...it wasn't even funny when you're sitting there still shell shocked because you get that feeling down your back that another flashback was coming.
things i thought while reading, in the words of Salodin.
This is kind of dumb. Everyone has known for ages that Naruto/Sasuke are pretty much the modern version of Sot6P's kids. And everyone knows that Naruto would eventually inherit/obtain the Sage's power too (which he now more or less has having gotten some of each tailed beast's charka). It was inevitable that he would meet this character at some point. Saying that it's pointless to have a flashback now when he's about to get another upgrade is just ridiculous. It was bound to happen, it was always bound to happen. Him getting what is most likely the strongest upgrade in the series should warrant a flashback and meeting the guy who created it all
Just because we know the story is ending doesn't mean that the storytelling aspect of it should just cut off, we should just rush through all the action and end this for good. And again, while you think it's pointless and garbage, there are plenty of readers like myself who actually enjoyed the chapter for what it was.
I just sense a lot of butthurt in here. All of your expectations are sky-high, when the story and storytelling has been like this for years now.
Dunno about you bros, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Naruto/Sage interlude, even if it cut in-between Might Guy's finale.
We got a long needed back story on The Sage of Six Paths -- we learned that he really wasn't just a revered Ninja-God, but another "casualty" of strife and conflict, one caused by his own mother (who was also trying to end the same strife and conflict). He was human, and had a brother whom were both thrown into endless conflict with the Shinju & Ten-Tails of that era because of their mother's "greed." We also learned that The Sage of Six Paths didn't exactly create Ninjutsu, but instead created the precepts that Ninjutsu derived from, now known as Ninshuu.
From there, the story is obvious, as we are reaffirmed that the Sage also inadvertently created the bloodlines that reincarnate within the Senju (Will of Fire) and Uchiha (Curse of Hatred), leading up to the present day. We are also reaffirmed in the fact that Senju clan members occasionally have a leader who stands above the rest and draws power from friendship and camaraderie and a leader in the Uchiha who draws power from solace and genius level intellect.
We're in the middle of the most exciting fight damn near in the manga, and you welcome a break in the action so naruto and sage sundi can sit and talk about how smart/dumb sundi sounds? 2 chapters after the LAST flashback, too? ugh
