Would assume Madara did with all the time he spent in isolation and linked to the statue. Perhaps a new element suggesting he would've needed people to "convert" for this process within a genjutsu slumber. However, this gets complicated with the Zetsu army, which may justify the need for Yamamoto and his Senjuice to speed up the process or not need sacrifices, but Obito technically didn't have a Rinnegan for this initially, either. I guess it's possible Pain could've helped here, but it seemed rare he left the Rain.


Will overall just kinda mirror the wtf is going on, but more in line with Kishi being kinda meh in conveying his action and cluttering the panels. Some day, anime, some day!!!!!

Have you not already done this...? I had second thoughts of this right around the time skip. I thought it redeemed itself a tad in the pain arc, but iv just been in denial from that point on saying "oh it can be good! maybe just maybe!" Twist after twist i think hes just fucking with us now seeing how far people will stay with it.

At this point I'm giving Naruto the Bleach treatment. I read it every week because I've been reading it up to this point and I might as well stick it out to the finish regardless of how ridiculous or bad it gets.

This. Pein invasion was fantastic in the manga. Jiraiya vs Pein was fantastic. Anything Naruto and his parents has been fantastic. Everything Itachi has been fantastic. And even in this war, there have been some really solid moments (Naruto befriending the bijuu's/Madara being a mega-troll/8-gated Gai). Just as a whole, the war has been really meh.

Thus why I said I did like the pain arc or however you spell his name. Most of my anger is pointed at the war arc that is 2 years old now I think.

akatsuki had some OK parts but just a few in my mind. Its been 50/50 post time skip with total bull over the last year or so lol.

Haha man I remember this thread when the Pain arc started... the whole internet was so excited that all of the free manga servers out there crashed simultaneously.

I guess Kishi wants to extend this final arc out as long as possible. Too bad, I'd have preferred it if he ended it on a high note more quickly like Breaking Bad but whatever. I'll just stick to it, it will be the end of a great 12 year journey for me.

Just as a whole, the war has been really meh.

Yeah, this. The war had some high points that you mentioned, but it has a ton of low points as well. Weeks were dragged out on inconsequential characters like the Gold and Silver twins and the 7 swordsmen of the mist were somehow relevant. Edo tensei Akatsuki members that had epic fights while they were alive get beaten in one or two chapters and iirc Kakuzu even gets beaten off screen. It kind of cheapens the original win. Finally after 2 years, everyone is just voltroning up with their dragon balls.

Really everything turned to shit the second Madara turned out to be Obito.

Everything started to fall apart after the Pain arc when everything started to be explained through ninja jesus juice and zombies. Kishi obviously had an idea for certain angles, but none whatsoever on how to implement them. The Obito reveal was the culmination of shit.

Having said that, I'm enjoying this Kaguya reveal just to see how it gets dealt with lol.
