That is so badass, what a twist... Itachi was essentially held ransom or something to that effect by Madara. Also, Sasuke getting Itachi's eye techniques is cool. I am wondering what's up with his team and the fish guy now though. Also interested to hear the rest of the story and what Sasuke is going to do. There is really no chance for Sasuke to escape from Tobi now... he's got to do whatever he wants. No matter what Sasuke will be doing what Tobi wishes, whether it be returning to Konoha or remaining rogue or even joining Akatsuki...

I think I kinda sorta called Sasuke getting the new eyes. I thought since he had essentially killed his best friend he would unlock mangekyou, but instead Itachi just downloaded the eyes into his forehead and wrote some eye program that would start upon seeing Madara's eyes which is pretty strange/impressive.

I'd really like to know how he keeps living from all these attacks, the method seems to be the secret he was keeping from Itachi, but Itachi had to have known that Tobi is able to avoid a lot of direct attacks some way or another. I wonder why he thought Amaterasu would be any different.

Grats, I flicked you on your forehead and now you have Mangekyou and all my other techniques. Bad writing for the fucking loss, plot-kai happens again and its plot-fail. You can train all you want, absorb Orochimaru and get all his techniques, get flicked on the forehead and get all Itachi's.... Grats... seriously. You know, it's not that incredibly dumb. Itachi just comes off as more of a badass for keeping his poker face the whole way through, and Sasuke gets to have a breakdown after finding out all his effort was for nothing, and that the man he just killed wasn't a bad guy after all. I mean if Itachi had stayed a bad guy, Sasuke would just keep rolling along with the same-old same-old, this time just gearing up to fight Madara- now there's a twist to it.

It was foolish to expect it to be as simple as "Sasuke killed Itachi, he got his revenge." That was his entire motivation for living, of course something would have to be thrown into the mix to give Sasuke some sort of reason to make the drastic change that is undoubtedly going to happen in the next few weeks.

my prediction for the end of Naruto:

naruto and sasuke team up to fight Pain and Madara simultaneously, and eventually come to the point of both being out of chakra. their final ace up the sleeve is "dick-touch no jutsu" and they use it to win. naruto becomes konoha's youngest hokage and sasuke starts to rebuild the uchiha clan.

Anyway, the gay thing to me that is epic fail isn't the fact that itachi is good, or had some good intentions, that was bound to happen. The gayest shit is sasuke just got flicked in the forehead and got mangek and other abilities, just like when he absorbed orochimaru and got all his. Its fail that he just randomly attains them so easily where itachi has to kill his best friend and theres all this shit behind it. No, you're flicked, now you have the ultimate sharingan technique.

Btw, as I mentioned to my friend. Naruto should be learning his space/time jutsu really really soon now, since that's probably the only way to beat pain (who has the strongest eye technique) and probably the only reason pain listens to madara at all.

in a way it's shonen bullshit, but sasuke is the born-talent counterpart to naruto anyway. you kind of expect him to just get things. there might be more explanation to him getting mangekyo like that too. the orochimaru stuff came and went, and wasn't even all that consequential while he had it (he used a couple snake techniques, but orochimaru didn't really have anything groundbreakingly overpowering anyway. just a lot of ecclectic/situational weird shit).

Ya, we can't expect to understand all that goes on right away, give it time I'm sure there will be a cool explanation for why he did it, how he did it and what it's limits/repercussions are.

Also, are you just assuming he's going to learn a spcae/time jutsu because of his being the son of the 4th and stuff and his 'teleportation' jutsu or did it actually say in the manga he was queued up for learning one? I forget alot of details like this, just curious. Also, I totally forgot about Pain, they really have too much shit going on.... Sasuke's Team, Pain, Madara/Sasuke... gah.

Given the misinterpretation of Itachi so far, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole "killing your best friend" thing was a lie, too. Kakashi has MS, after all. Meanwhile, if Itachi can use a genjutsu that simulates years of pain in an instant, it stands to reason he could tweak that to instill years of training instead.

Otherwise, we can only assume Sasuke no longer has Orochimaru's powers with the whole escaping snake thing. Sure, he'll have general knowledge from his training, and maybe even leeched an idea or two while Oro was inside, but I kind of see getting what Itachi knew as a replacement of that loss. He's still gonna have to get used to it and fend off Madara if he doesn't wind up wanting to cooperate.

When I was reading it I thought he got the abilities cause he technically (best kind) killed Itachi, who as his brother could be his best friend. Then i read the gayness.

I hope to god that Itachi had some kind of plan behind protecting sasuke, like just keeping "madara" from him so that he could suck out his eyes or something. THe brotherly love after killing entire family would be entirely gay and enough reason to stop reading naruto.
