Honestly, I think we're all freaking out over nothing. I think Naruto is gonna run to Kakashi and Sakura next chapter while they're about to fight Sasuke and be like "Yo guys, I got dis", then following chapters will be Naruto and Sasuke dicking around with god-like powers while reminiscing about the last decade and a half (where we all bawl over the nostalgia), followed by Sasuke coming to his senses and ending this. Maybe he'll even become a hermit himself, leaving Naruto to become Hokage.
We all know this will be the one time Naruto realizes he can't power of friendship his way out.
either sasuke dies or they both die.
I get it.
Naruto is going to surprise everyone when the very next panel in the manga is him agreeing with Sasuke and they hold hands killing the kage's together.
Kill Sasuke now, before he's reproduced, thereby ending the Uchiha and Asura's line.
Cycle broken, everyone goes home happy.
I think it's just frustrating because we had all been duped into thinking that Sasuke had grown/learned something from his experiences in the manga besides a desire for revenge. I was skeptical about the character consistency of Sasuke joining the fight against Madara before. And this is ANOTHER 180.
The only thing you can count on Sasuke being is a bitch. And that doesn't make a likeable character.
Wha? P.sure he said it himself, this isn't revenge. Hes simply creating world peace the best way he knows how; by destroying the pillars of ninjas society and building anew. Naruto isn't much different, only he thinks he can change people's hearts to achieve this, Sasuke thinks that isn't possible.
I wish we didn't know how this ends, otherwise this would actually be a pretty fun few chapters.
I don't see how Sasuke's plan is supposed to work unless he wants to unite the ninja world by being the villain that everyone is working to defeat for the rest of his life (which isn't the same thing as becoming Hokage.)
As previously stated, dictatorships don't really work. As soon as the sauce is dead this all goes to shit and we're farther back than square one.
What a retard.
They'll both die and Sakura will rule the ninja world!
Sakura will probably die in this one, ala Rin. With more Kakashi/Obito flashbacks.
She'll jump in the way of one of them doing a rasengan/chidori and die. Everyone will rejoice cause dumb bitch.
sasuke-kun!
Sasuke, bitch of all times.
It almost caught me for a second, because of the feels from the previous chapter. However, this shit was always destined, I guess.
Best thing you've honestly said in years. His mindset has changed, but it's still going about it the wrong way. It's the mindset of many people in reality who once have thoughts of "vengeance" and "revenge", which then changes to "revolution" to change the paradigm in place that caused the problems. It's still a radical and bitch way to go about things.
Why did people expect any different from Sasuke? It was hinted for awhile that he was going to do something once the immediate threat was over. At the end of the day, he's still an Uchiha and every single one of them has walked a path stained in blood. Killing is really the only method they know to resolve problems; even Itachi. Shisui *might* be the only one exempt from this, but that's really only because we don't know enough of his background still. Sasuke has also been through so much emotional trauma and manipulation that it's not really surprising how he is essentially heartless when it comes to decision making; basically, the end justifies the means for him and that's all there is to it. His methodology may be contrary to the message the manga has been preaching, but that's the way it's supposed to be.
God damnit Sasuke, this is not how you Power of Friendship.
Kinda sad, because you'd want to believe that Sasuke would have been able to rise above the history of his people after all of the experiences he's had in his life so far. In the end it really only shows how weak-willed he is. He's an irredeemable character, but one people constantly try to understand and interpret. He doesn't have any other motives for what he does other than wanting to reform the Shinobi world so it doesn't repeat the mistakes of the past, but he doesn't realize that the current Kage have nothing to do with the previous Kage that came before them who did all this mischievous shit. He's also so ruthless-minded that he doesn't care about killing off Naruto (and by extension Sakura & Kakashi) right not to achieve his ends. He's not out for revenge, but what he wants to achieve is nothing short of oppression of the people and a paradigm shift to that of him becoming an autocrat by way of becoming Hokage.
