Context? They all had chains around their necks, about to be absorbed by Madara. And like Bee did in the past against Sasuke, chopped off a tentacle to escape. Clearly had enough of the 8-tails chakra in it in order for him to survive, as it hasn't been mentioned at all that he died from the extraction.

Edit: There's also this moment that happened as the Infinite Tsukuyomi was being activated.

Just watched the Sunny Side Battle; came away wondering what the fuck I had just watched. The Mangeggkyou Sharingan was kinda funny though I guess; it's like the next iteration of the Mangekrow!
