Did you seriously expect characters not to get closure? Ending was as pefect as it could get honestly, I've criticized Kishimoto many times throughout these years but the finale is one thing he did right.

I thought that was a Guy/Lee type situation where Lee was just training a student who idolizes him. I guess he could've been paired with Tenten but I didn't get that vibe.

I can't believe this manga is actually over. Think this was the first manga I ever started reading, since I was tired of filler in the anime. >.> Such a weird feeling.

Really enjoyed this ending though, quite the nice "happy ending for all" situation, even if that is a bit predictable. Seeing Naruto as Hokage was just a great way of finally ending this story.

Looking forward to the side story stuff in the future.

I guess the short compilation stories coming in the spring are going to be written by someone else (and one of the movie writers no less). I dunno how interested I'm gonna be in those anymore >_>;;;

But this movie, I'm still quite excited about! I feel like not only the manga wrapped up well, but between the anime and the movie we'll get even more closure and fanfare to put a nice bow on the series as a whole.

699 was the ending I wanted. 700 was making sure fanfic writers got their wish fulfillment. It's like the animal house ending with the teenage mutant ninja turtle theme song callouts. Everyone banged everyone else, and then skyscrapers. Radical!

Hmm, that does cause me to lose a bit of interest in them.... Who knows though, maybe they could still be good.

They had 2 retirees in recent years. Both Tsunade and Kakashi got sent to the old folks home.

Oh, we never got to see Kakashi's face lol. Reminds me of the filler episode when they were trying to unmask him(that shit was funny).

Yeah i read the manga, I meant before that I had no idea it was possible to just 'retire' since Tsunade was still hokage before chapter 700
