Pretty much this. Jiraiya said that Minato was a once in a generation talent and Hiruzen sat as Hokage for like thirty more years because he couldn't find anyone else as good. Comparatively, it was established pretty repeatedly that Obito wasn't very talented especially for an Uchiha. All Obito had going for him was a really annoying Sharingan power (that Minato figured out immediately versus like everyone else that had to fight him).

So if I wanted to go through this entire series, what would people recommend? Read or watch? As a random reference, I watched all of DBZ and went back and read DB. I often think action scenes can play out better when animated but I do like the format of paper.
