I really, really hope Sasuke doesn't become Darth Vader. I mean, Itachi being a good guy was hard enough to swallow.

Yeah, but the epicness of this chapter + a history lesson about what all really happened between The First (I still can't call him by his real name) and Madara will be great. I can't wait to see if it illustrated their battle at the Valley of the End.Originally Posted by BRP

This one, Aki.
And about Sasuke going down that route, that's what I honestly see happening. I expect to see him possibly going after Tsunade (she's a descendant of the First, remember) and Madara is probably going to influence it or something. Or Tsunade is going to protect those two old counselors when Sasuke possibly goes after them, or maybe an epic battle between Sai and Sasuke because of Sai's fondness for Danzo's nuts.
At that point it'll be revealed that Suigetsu and Sai knew each other and that Suigetsu is the person in Sai's artbook, then Suigetsu will turn on Sasuke to save Sai, Suigetsu probably dies.
I predict we'll be referring to Madara as Palpatine eventually, with BRP's mention of Sasuke turning into Vader.
Need moar explanation from Madara!![]()
I thought the two opening pages were really badass, Madara's outfit :nikkei:
A final fight between Naruto and Sasuke would be awesome imo actually. If Sasuke turns into Vader and it leads up to that, I'd be all for it.
and lmao at Naruto cross-eyed pic.
Rofl. Wow. I totally forgot about that. I thought you meant Sakura was the one with lazy-eye.Originally Posted by Ivaden
ALso, your prediction is pretty damn good, actually. I could see that really happening, but knowing Kishi... who knows now. I just hope the backstory is really good. I want some awesome Konoha history.
Also, since he's Tsunade's grandfather, I could see Sasuke going after her. Not sure it'd be wise..
I agree about Sai and Danzo though. He does have a certain love for that man's balls.
Why would the Third order Itachi to slaughter his entire clan though? Because they hold the potential to become too powerful? I thought they had been the Konoha police force for many generations
ALL WILL BE KNOWN SOON
After watching Shippuden 56, looks like it's going into filler. I hope it's only a couple of episodes worth of filler because Bleach just went into filler too GDI
Also, what type of eyes does Kurenai have? Have they ever been mentioned by name?
Did we always know the demon fox had Sharingan?
I think they're normal. I believe it was explained somewhere that her eyes had that design in order to enhance genjutsu, or to just show that she specialized in it.Originally Posted by Takie
I think that's the physical manifestation when you suppress it with Sharingan. Remember one of Sharingan's hidden powers is being able to control the kyuubiOriginally Posted by Blarg
Actually, I'm thinking it was to get someone in undercover to keep tabs on Madara. Just my theory though.Originally Posted by Takie
I'd say he knew kyubi was being controlled by sharingan. and didnt want anyone to beable to do that agian.Originally Posted by Takie
The Uchiha can control the Kyubi and the First's clan can supress Kyubi with Mokuton, thats why they were the two strongest clans.
Still, ordering Itachi to kill his whole clan doesn't seem like something the 3rd would do. Madara's story has some holes so far.
I think Kurenai's eyes are just unique. Saying that though, I used to believe that Kurenai and Pain might have been connected somehow because of the silhouetted version/shadowed versions we saw of Pain before he was revealed. They both had very similar eyes, just different colors. There's only been mention of three "eye jutsu" though, the Rin'negan (Pain), Byakugan, and Sharingan.Originally Posted by Takie
A couple things have occured to me this afternoon.
1) If Mokuton was the 1st hokage's bloodline ability, why couldn't the 2nd use it as well? They're brothers aren't they? I can understand Tsunade not having it, since she's a couple generations down the line.
2) Wasn't it stated that the Kyuubi was sealed in a newborn, or at least a baby? If the Kakashi Gaiden is really "about 10 years ago", then Naruto should have been nearly 2, or possibly close to 3 years old at the time.
EDIT: I just found it in chapter 2, that Naruto was a newborn "12 years ago". I guess the 4th hokage really is a master of space/time ninjutsu, since he was able to fight in a war 2 years after he died.
Mokuton wasn't a bloodline, it was just an ability unique to the First Hokage, probably because it requires two chakra types to use and who knows, that may have been incredibly rare back then to be able to do so.
Correct. Mokuton wasn't a bloodline ability or anything. It was just a special jutsu type based on Earth/Wood that the First was able to master and no one else was. I'm guessing it was based off his clan, and who knows what happened to his clan when he became the First Hokage.Originally Posted by Ivaden
It is a bloodline. The combining of two natures is the reason Sharingan cannot copy Bloodline abilities, because even if you could copy it, you don't have the nature affinity to use it. Yamato was made from the first's DNA, and is the only Mokuton user remaining. Kakashi explains this when training Naruto in the last episode - For example, Haku's "Ice Release" is a bloodline ability that combines water and wind.
