I was pretty sure one of the promo panels for the movie showed him with a bandaged hand like Naruto's. You can't really see Naruto's arm there either, maybe they just didn't have them at that point.

Maybe I should reread, but didnt the 9tails essentially laugh at the sword and say that wasn't actually gonna do shit to Naruto? I have no doubts that they had that fight in the bag, even with the sword in his gut.

Naruto healed almost instantly from a hole in his chest via Sasuke pre-timeskip when he could barely control 1 tail's worth of Kurama's chakra. I think a sword through his abdomen isn't really an issue at this point lol

It's not an issue, but they still failed. Last time this happened team 7 jumped into the portal and wrecked the literal god of ninjutsu. This was just lazy...writing or fighting?
