At the very least, they're showing flashbacks I'm genuinely interested in for once. The previous two episodes just had way too much thrown in there that has been shown four or five times already.

Has zero to do with naruto and all to do with the pokemon movie. It spilled into narutos time slot. This happens from time to time, its just infuriating because of everything they do normally with show filler. Tho they very well could of planned this for more budget. (Lol who am I kidding they took the week off to save money not put more in.)

A few minutes in myself. The subs are pretty good so far! And it's in 720p too which is nice. Intro and the music have been pretty fantastic so far.... so let's hope the movie can keep that going lol

The plot itself was actually kind of interesting. Focusing on Hagoromo's brother Hamura and his descendants was actually kind of neat. I still don't really have any idea how/why the Byakugan gang was involved though. Were they descendants of the Hamura side? Whatever happened to the Byakugan being a genetic mutation from the Sharingan? lol. And I chuckled when the Tenseigan ended up being a "Golden Byakugan", albeit, I don't remember if that joke was from this forum or a different one I visit.

The major downside was all the fighting plotkai. Sasuke shows up for like 3 seconds and you can clearly see he has his Sharingan+Rinnegan combo going. But Naruto doesn't really ever go all out. At least, not in his SotSP mode. He does go Kurama+Sage mode when it counts, but for good chunks of the movie I was just like "/sigh... stop fucking around and just go all out already."

Also, don't know if it was movie plotkai or what, but don't recall Kurama being able to ever leave/fight freely outside of Naruto's body. Albeit, I could buy into it being a new ability/side effect/whatever as a result of the end of the manga. That part actually could make some sense and is actually pretty reasonable. Kurama freely storing himself/supplying his chakra to Naruto out of free will as opposed to being sealed inside him and thus being able to leave whenever/if ever the situation called for it, while still leaving Naruto with some of his charka.

Overall, the plot was quite nice for the most part and this was definitely a better Naruto movie...... by Naruto movie standards. So... take that however you'd like lol

Edit2: The subs got kind of half-assed part way through the movie. Not awful or terrible, but not the best either. Still very much watchable

Watching Guy vs Madara made me think of something. Maybe there is a simple answer I am overlooking here. Why didn't Kakashi use Kamui on Madara and leave him there?

If Null is referring to the recent anime episode, Kakashi hasn't had his eye torn out yet. On top of that, Obito+Sakura+Semi-Dead Naruto are in that "other dimension" right now too, so even if Madara was Kamui'd there by Kakashi, not only could he get back by using Obito's half of the Sharingan, but he'd also get his second rinnegan back...


....which is literally what happens in like 5 chapters.
