This is what I figured. They may have lost their moon/sun symbols/powers on their hands but Naruto was still able to go Rikudou-Sennin mode and the Sauce still has his hax-Rinnegan.

Also, what is this "Senjin" people keep bringing up? =/

Edit: Naruto's "modes" throughout the series:

-Regular idiot
-1~8 Tails
-Sage Mode
-Kurama/Kyuubi cloak mode (after having won Kurama's chakra but before befriending him)
-Kurama cloak mode (after befriending Kurama)
-Kurama cloak + Sennin mode
-Rikudou-Sennin mode (the mode/form he fights against Kaguya in, AKA, the one he just got on the anime)
-Sexy-no-Jutsu mode

Don't think I'm missing any. The main debate being whether he uses his Rikudou-Sennin mode anymore I think. Which is odd that he wouldn't considering the Sauce still uses his hax-Rinnegan

Going back to the Boruto movie clip, two comments:

1) Naruto using a sword, wtf?

2) That clip is basically a Power Rangers fight progression.

I don't see the problem with him using a katana. These are ninja we are talking about, after all.

Yeah, nothing "wrong" with it, but he's always been shitty at just kunai and now he's pretty good with a katana so it's a bit weird.

I wouldn't say Naruto was pretty good with the katana. He got off like 2-3 attacks and then got pushed into purely defensive blocking. He bought enough time for Sasuke to get back into the fray which was probably the point.
