Naruto.. oblvious as ever, Haha. Pretty good movie though other than the typical Rasengan ending. It's like the new Genki Dama/Spirit Bomb.

Also, what's with Naruto getting all the Filler movie babes in movies? (Well, other than the one in the first movie seeing as she was a tad older than him and all.)

still, pretty entertaining. pretty good fights, story was decent. it's a shame most of the filler/movie enemies are so bland looking, kinda- some fairly plain robes, long-ish hairdos and roll 'em out. Don't quite measure up to water ninja/Zabuza/Gaara/Orochimaru/Akatsuki/etc.

I love me sum drunkem lee, its entertaining as heck. I still hate that cn changed drunken master, boxing to loopy fist.

I'm downloading the torrent for the movie from DB, but I'm not sure of somthing.
It has english subtitles right? I'm gonna feel like a dumbass if I find out I downloaded just to not know wtf is going on in the film.

Yeah, they do. Downloaded it and made sure last night, haven't watched it yet though. Not more than a few minutes anyway.

I don't get the need for filler. The manga seems light years ahead and the anime's pacing is very slow. It would take like two years for the anime to catch up to the manga's current point.

Perhaps they felt the need to expand on Asuma. Lord knows I didn't really give much of a shit when he died. He was a cool character I guess but he never really did much except save Shikamaru once. Also, I felt that his connection to the third was never really made readily apparent, they just kind of mentioned it once in passing and then moved on.

One more thing occurred to me as well. They MAY be doing filler now in order to give the main artists more time to do a good job on some of the zomg fights later on. If the Jiraiya fight looks like shit I think it'd piss a lot of people off

To be honest, I can't stand the anime anymore. Too many different artist teams make it look like shit, and maybe it's just me (since I read the manga), but it's way WAY more slow paced then it was back when Shippuuden just came out.

Can't really tell when they pan to a characters face as they have a blank stare and stay on said character for a minute every other minute.

I was thinking the other day how cool it would be if they just used better ideas for filler. Like recently in the anime, Tsunade tells them that Kakashi and Jiraiya had to go on a scouting mission so Yamato is gonna be their leader again- HEY BRILLIANT IDEA DO SOME FUCKING FILLER ON THE BADASSES FOR ONCE

seriously, how awesome would a kakashi and jiraiya sidestory be? kakashi is the top standard jounin and pretty deadly, and jiraiya is just a powerhouse. plus they share a similar love for literature that would make for decent jokes here and there. have them run into some akatsuki for a cool fight and bam, fucking sweet filler arc.

good filler with shikamaru or the hyuugas or kurenai or sand ninja with some decent bad guys would work too. it just gets lame when its the same old naruto thrown at some boring bad guys.
