Well, I see how manga will "probably" go now. Itachi thought it was best to go along with his mission, but decided to leave Sasuke alive to "continue the coup" or he wanted Sasuke alive to be able to defeat Madara eventually down the line. So Sasuke is either going to team up with Madara and it'll be those two and some others (including Sasuke's team) who will wage a war on Konoha. Or Sasuke will find some power up boost somewhere and kill Madara and then be a big happy family in Konoha again.

Ok, guess I'm not so certain after all, but oh well.

I was arguing with my friend about last weeks manga, him saying Madara must be lying because the 3rd would never go along with the Uchiha massacre, but I knew that it was the 3rd who was arguing against the massacre, he just knew about it happening, which caused the bad blood between the 3rd and Danzo.

I can see Sasuke not teaming up with Madara, but going after at least Danzo and those two elders which would land him in the Bingo Book or whatever, so then Konoha would have to hunt him, not just try to bring him back.

Yeah, that was my assumption. I figure Akatsuki will attack Konoha, various people including Tobi, Yamato and Tsunade will be killed, and Naruto will lose it.

That's what I'd assume. I mean the entire story is mostly just Madara explaining that Itachi did not slaughter his people from his own ideas.

It has to be a lie. Because Itachi implanted Amaterasu to fight against Madara, and everything Madara has said has been that he and Itachi did not get along well. So that was Itachi lying.
