Disappointment might be understatement. It's like:

3 months ago:

"Haha guys, imagine if Itachi was actually good?! And he did it protect the village?! haha! And imagine if Sasuke is now going to be turn into a villain?! Man that would be so silly, I bet it could actually happen XD"

Present:

"FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF FFFFFFFFF"

All those things happened + cool fight was dropped out of existence + got rid of Orochimaru in 2 pages.


Up until now I always thought manga were safe to stuff western comics had to suffer when switching to shitty authors.

I wonder what's gonna happen to Akatsuki now that it's down to..what..4 members? It just seems like Madara was manipulating Itachi to get to Sasuke.

Are they going to pursue that whole bijuu thing, or focus more on this Sasuke grudge thing?

Well at least this up coming week they might show what naruto has been doing. At least we can expect a good fight with naruto and sasuke, seeing as sasuke can control the nine tails naruto will need some new tricks. Naruto will probably have to use his new move to kill sasuke and then die like someone said.

I don't understand the disappointment in the turn of events. Maybe how fast and sudden it happened, but not the actual turn of events. In my eyes, what would there be left in the manga if Sasuke returned to Konoha? The Akatsuki fights and that's it? Sasuke has turned out to be a god-modder, Naruto will never lose, and there's only a handful of Akatsuki left (granted, at least two of them are apparently immortal, not including Hidan who's buried alive). After Akatsuki, then what? Manga over? I know it's supposed to be closing in the future, but going this route would just lead us to a lot more excessive talking to bridge the gap. At least this way it presents another challenge to Konoha, and of course the predicted Sasuke/Naruto fight we all knew was coming the moment Sasuke left Konoha.

It is disappointing to see Orochimaru and Itachi just thrown aside, though, I will admit. But perhaps Orochimaru can make another two page appearance if Kabuto ever comes back into the picture, which really seems doubtful.

I just cant get over how fucking stupid it is, that itachi sacrifices so much and does so much for sasuke AND TO PROTECT THE VILLAGE LOL just for sasuke to take his eyes pretty much say fuck you and now go to go destroy what itachi was protecting... Sure, you can still hate him for what he did, but come the fuck on BAD WRITING IS BAD afk going to go read some more bleach thread and maybe re-watch Onepiece in it's entirety since it would be less grueling than this is turning out to be.

I don't know... I mean, Itachi wanted Sasuke to get stronger. For what, if Konoha ever turned their back on him? Itachi tried keeping Sasuke from the truth via Amaterasu activating when Madara's Sharingan was seen. I half-think that Itachi wanted this to happen, or expected it to.

Sure it means Itachi died for no reason in the end, but I really wouldn't expect someone as emotionally unstable as Sasuke to just sit idly by after learning Konoha used his brother to destroy the clan. To be honest, I'd be more disappointed if Sasuke just returned to Konoha with flowers in hand and was like "hay guys im back^___^"

I can't see Sasuke just going to konoha and killing everyone there. He knows who is responsible for the whole Itachi incident so he would probably just try to kill or incapacitate anyone who got in his way from getting revenge on those people.

The new Sasuke eyes were a disappointment considering all the other eyes had great designs.

But the manga is still really enjoyable for me, I can't wait for the probable Naruto vs. Sasuke Epic Battle.

Sasuke didn't take Itachi's eyes. I guess he'll be going blind eventually. Of course, Itachi could still see during their fight, which is 8-10 years after he left Konoha, so it'll be awhile before Sasuke goes blind I guess.

I thought it was unusual that Sasuke's Mangekyo is 6-way.

My little prediction for what might happen in the upcoming chapters.


Sasuke now knows which Konoha members are responsible for the Uchiha clan being wiped out. And, of course, he feels that they are to blame for Itachi's death, indirectly or not. Not to mention his Mom/Dad and the rest of the clan. Sai is a student, or member of a group, of that Danzou guy (dude with the bandages covering half his face?) so I think Hawk will go after him to get some kind of information.

Of course, since Sasuke used to be a Leaf ninja he'll know where things are in the village, to a point, and I'm sure Madara might know quite a bit as well. Probably more than Sasuke just because of how long he's been around, he may know of secret underground such and such. Since Sasuke has Madara on his "side" at the moment, the rest of Akatsuki MIGHT (I really doubt this will happen though) join up with Hawk and attack Konoha, whether it be by taking Naruto and doing the demon thing, or just.. attacking the village.

Naruto will learn of Jiraiya's death by Akatsuki, and see Sasuke with Akatsuki members (if my little fanboy prediction comes through) and throw all thoughts of trying to "save" Sasuke out the window. Plus he doesn't know that Orochimaru is dead yet right? Once he learns that and sees Sasuke still not coming back, HOPEFULLY he'll get it through his dumbass thick skull that Sasuke won't be coming back and he has to kill him to protect the village and what not. Or, Sasuke has a little 1-on-1 chat with him and gets Naruto to join Hawk/Akatsuki (Again, I highly doubt this will happen since by this time he'll know Akatsuki was responsible for Jiraiya's death. This, again, is assuming Jiraiya is actually dead. It's a manga, shit is never 100% true until the nigga' is buried. :3)

But, yeah, either way at this point I see either Naruto or Sasuke dying, most likely will be Sasuke since he's pretty much done with the village. I see a few other characters dying as well (Kakashi for one, I see getting killed by Madara OR Sasuke).

I'm kind of hoping this turns into another ninja war. Since that's what Madara wants in the end anyway, I think.
