also, has the anime stopped moving so slowly now? I stopped watching after the deidra/garaa fight cause it was moving so slow.
though I guess either way it wont be as bad watching slow episodes if I have so many to watch.

It's still a little slow since they haven't introduced Hidan/Kakuzu yet, but the fillers have been mildly entertaining, especially the last 2-3 episodes.

It was weird though how all of the rock formations sort of vaporized after like it was an illusion or something.

That confused me for a second too but it was just a really poorly done transition which made you think it was a dissipating illusion, but really it wasn't.

And it seems pretty obvious that Naruto will master the Senjutsu arts. I mean, he "surpassed" both Kakashi and Minato (well... at least Kakashi says so >_>), so why wouldn't he surpass Jiraiya. He'll use this to beat Pein. At the rate he's going, he'll probably learn one more trump card that will let him surpass Sandaime too and he'll use this to beat Kabutorochimaru. He'll also probably learn something to surpass Shodai too so he can beat Madara.

...At least, that's just the vibe I'm getting at the moment =/. He'll get some kind of boost to surpass each one respectively and use that boost to finally beat the counter villain that couldn't be beat in the first place.

And I don't think Naruto is really going to turn into the super all-powerful character everyone is predicting because it's a shonen manga. I mean, yeah, he's going to get a lot stronger here soon, that's without saying, but I think Naruto (as a manga) has always been fairly balanced between characters.

Sasuke vs Madara
Naruto vs Pain
Kakashi vs Kabutorochimaru

That's my predictions. Sasuke vs. Madara because there seems to be some tension between them, and really, Sasuke has to know that Madara is trying to manipulate him. It's too obvious. Naruto vs. Pain is obvious, no need to say anything about that. Kakashi vs. Kabutorochimaru because Kakashi was wanting to whoop some ass when Orochimaru showed up after sealing Sasuke's cursed seal, but Orochimaru ran away after paralyzing Kakashi.

I know you say balanced in the manga, and yes thats true, but I think it will be balanced differently. Yes they give a powerboost to a main character when he finds an opponent that typically couldn't be beat, but I think the idea is in the end to have sasuke and naruto pretty close.

I.E, Sasuke just got atomic eyeballs, surpassed itachi and whatnot, so now naruto needs sage arts to catch up to sasuke and pass jirayia. They'll have their respective fights, like naruto vs pain i guess if it comes to that and the training will make it important, but I'm sure if naruto gets strong enough from this training that sasuke will probably get even stronger as well, to keep them even since they are rivals. That way they can always challenge each other like they did when they were younger.
