Finally got around to watching this weeks episode, and it was pretty good. I love seeing the story finally back on track even if that was mostly a training episode.

Something has been bothering me about the elemental wheel of Naruto.

Facts:

Basic elementals are Fire Water Earth Lightning and Wind.

Yamato told Naruto that Wind is weak against Fire.

Kakashi said Earth is weak again Lightning.


So can one elemental be strong against two or more elmentals?


Lightning > Earth > ??? > ??? > Fire > Wind > ???


Maybe it is

Lightning > Earth > Water > Fire > Wind ?

Wind is strong against Lightning? Huh?

Well, if you think about it, Lightning is technically Wind moving the right way to cause friction. Still, I kinda have issue with Lightning even existing in that chart given that fact. Either way, it gets tricky since Water can stop fire (usually), but it could also erode Earth (or just get sucked up and made into mud). The fact they get wood out of water/earth seemingly makes it even more complicated, since new "elements" could exist with the right combos. Trying to remember if they considered that one sand Kazikage a Metal user of sorts with his Iron Sand technique, which would presumably be an Earth/Fire combo.

Eh, science was never one of my strong points. Regardless, static (ergo friction, aka colliding/rubbing/etc) winds up being created somehow in the atmosphere, and me using "wind" was a vague term for all that goes with it (hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, etc.).

I'll keep the school thing in mind next time I think about being a TV weatherman, though.

I like how Naruto's eyes are all black outlined in his "frog form". Yeah, today we learned another benefit of the Natural Energy, it requires no user based energy since it's from the surroundings, kind of like what I said earlier. Here's to hoping the book has some good shit in it.

I'm guessing he was referring to the rasen-shuriken since it takes such a huge toll on him? >_> Frog dude said the more you use sage techniques the more you recover instead of tire out like when using ninja techniques, so on top of fox chakra and sage shit maybe it'll lessen damage of shuriken + make it more powerful
