Okay, this is like the final straw here. Sasuke better be doing some manipulating here. Nobody is this stupid. This character cannot suck anymore than this. He better be doing some kind of trick.

EDIT: But I know in my heart, he isn't doing shit. He is this much of a shitty character and Naruto will have to beat him with LOVE. Because he dreams of a world where EVERYONE HAS PEACE. He read it in a novel once, it could happen.

Well, it's Naruto's interpretation of what the character looks like. Looks like a leaner, taller Naruto to me (which = Yondaime, lol).

In a sense I really hope Sasuke means what he's saying, because it could produce some epic fights. Then again, he'll win them all anyway, but surely his team will lose one or two members. But yeah, this definitely has some Anakin/Emperor feel to it, in my opinion.

Guess don't really need spoiler tags here huh! The whole sasuke shit will just be awkward and confusing as fuck imo. He tries to play it like he killed off his emotions and shit but clearly not as seen with the last fight, yet he's going to try and destroy all of konoha with the people he'll prolly not want to kill in it. If he doesn't pull out some cock and bull win plan out of ass to betray madara or some shit this will just sound like one confused emo who can't figure out what he wants to do.

Kinda confused on the whole book thing too cause it would sound like Naruto's father but then the picture in the book looks more like Jiraiya with the lines down his face (can't remember if the 4th had lines down his face either (the tatoo shit)).

I can see how the manga ends now. Sasuke and Raikage fight for awhile, in the meanwhile, Naruto goes to find/kill Pein. Then he gets back to the village in time to see Sasuke kill the elders and Tsunade, he goes berserk and kills Sasuke and saves the village.

He becomes the 6th hokage, Sakura realizes she has had feelings for Naruto for a long time after Sasuke is dead, etc.

Then the spinoff - Naruto: The College Years!

Here's how I think it will end: Sasuke stays emo, attacks Konoha etc. Big epic battle between Naruto and Sasuke, then it turns out the power Itachi left behind for Naruto was in fact that genjutsu sword he used on Oro. Naruto uses the sword on Sasuke and possibly ends up dying too as a result, Sasuke gets trapped in a permanent genjutsu of being with his family still alive. If Naruto died too then they'll be trapped in the genjutsu together, where he'll be crowned the 6th Hokage w/ Sasuke & Sakura by his side.

How could they be stuck in a genjutsu if they are dead? My theory is much more likely.

Problem is, his editors and the studio will never let him end the manga as it's a huge cash cow. Same with Bleach and One Piece - there's been tons of opportunities for them to end those manga.

Pretty sure that is Jiraiya at the end of the book, with like an About The Author type section or whatever that has his picture.

Holy shit you guys whine a lot. I think there was a whole bunch of 'shit sucks' a while back and then a plot twist occurred based on the stuff that previously sucked and everyone was like 'shit is awesome'

For example?

Please don't say Itachi's betrayal. That was one giant mess up and the manga has only managed to get worse. In a reverse of what your said, 8-tails looked like it was going to be cool, but in the end all we got was a big slap in the face as Sasuke manages to go from dying to victory in 3 panels. And not epically so or anything, just gigantic bullshit.

EDIT: I could see Anakin/Palpatine here. Because it was just as hamfisted and crappy.

Didn't flower akatsuki guy describe the sword as something that permanently traps someone in a blissful genjutsu? As it killed Orochimaru?

One Piece is still really good (better in fact I'd say), so bad example there. And although Sasuke is lame the Naruto story overall is still going strong too.

But Bleach yeah I agree, the author just ran out of ideas so he's just showing fight after fight after fight with no plotline. That shit needs to end already, I'm not even -pirating- the anime/manga anymore cause it's so shit now, let alone buying it.

looking back at it now, i would guess that the ninetails warning sasuke not to kill naruto feels more like an emotional thing rather than him threatening him with death. dunno why but it's just one of those feelings
