does pein have more bodies than he did last time? i just counted 7 in 418 at the end, i thought there were only six when jiraiya fought him (one of which was killed). or were there only 3 during the fight? my memory's fuzzy and it's late, i'll have to look tomorrow.

If Jiraiya's clue is correct (and odds are, it is), Pain theoretically has 7. In his fight against Jiraiya, he only showed 6, but one was killed and dragged back to Konoha for an Autopsy. He then replaced that body with the light haired (most likely orange >_>) short girl, and the dark haired girl behind her is Konan, Pain's partner.

Only one of them is different from the fight with Jiraiya and Konan is there as well.

Something I didn't catch before, and I'm sure it's been in the back of the minds of some of you, but it seems like those bolts or whatever that are in the bodies have something to do with his capabilities. Why else would they have an entire page dedicated to showing the body with none of them in, showing a bunch of those bolts taken out of the body, and then that person (assuming here) inspecting one with the microscope?

Once again, I'm curious about Pain, even though he seems to be the AV of Naruto.

Seems to me that the real Pein hasn't even been shown yet, he's just controlling all those bodies with a genjutsu. So that would be the 7th

The spiked-rock is split in half, im pretty sure he's working on something that has to do with Wind Natured Chakra, because only Wind Element can split things. He might not be practicing the rasengan, but just practicing his ELEMENTAL composition, without Kunai.

Remember when he had the training exercise of splitting leaves with his ELEMENTAL composition chakra (Before he added it to Shape Manipulation (aka Rasengan)). Naruto is now practicing splitting bigger things (the giant spiked-rock u see in the picture). Meaning his power is extremely insane now (With the help of Sage Mode).

Also note: Ultimate Rasengan (Chou Rasengan or w/e) is a move learned in sage mode, rasengans cant be thrown even in the Ultimate Rasengan form (as seen in the fight w/ Jaraiya vs Pein's fat clone). But this page shows Naruto splitting the giant spiked-rock from a distance o.0??? (even though im sure he was just practicing element composition w/o shape manipulation)

Maybe Naruto has figured out something new, and can now slice up people with invisible winds comming from his elemental chakra composition. He REALLY needs some long range moves, like Neji's Eight Trigrams: Mountain Crushes.

Using Rasengan means he's limited close range, and is hard on some opponents; even w/ shadow clones to confuse the opponent etc. Naruto also needs to learn either Katon style Jutsu (to enhance his wind element composition and make it stronger (note sage mode teaches the Toad Oil Fire Bullet Jutsu)), or he needs to learn Suiton (so he can combine it with wind and use Ice Jutsu).

His 2nd type if he gets one will be something Light/Dark without a doubt. They wouldn't make him normal by giving him some lame combination of elements we've seen before.

Also, thinking about how strong Naruto is now and realizing Jiraiya is dead and will never be able to see it or congratulate him is like really starting to bum me out for some reason. Like, I actually feel kind of sad for Naruto's situation. He's running out of close friends, the only one left really is Sakura if you think about it. Tsunade and Kakashi aren't really close friends as much as they are his superiors with an interest in him.

I think at this point, you're wrong. He has "that" jutsu still from Jiraiya's training, and I believe that's what he's working on.

Now, you're probably gonna say something like ""that" jutsu is KN4", but again, that's wrong. Jiraiya used the key that Minato gave him to unlock the seal on Kyuubi in-order for Naruto to be able to get more chakra from the Kyuubi, most likely to do "that" jutsu, but the strain was so much so that it sent him into KN4 form. The key was there simply to strengthen or weaken the seal and to slowly allow Naruto to gain control over the Kyuubi, like all the other Jinchuuriki have control over the other sacred beasts within him. Will he still do this? Who knows.

Now that he has that same kind of power with the Senjutsu training and Sage mode, without the negative affects of the Kyuubi power, he's able to work on "that" jutsu without fear of going into KN4.

If he was working on FRS, then the damage done to the surroundings would have been so much more. There should really be craters in the ground. I mean, at 50% strength, look what he did to the surroundings when he used it against Kakuzu.

So as far as we're (the audience) concerned, we still have no idea what he's working on. Plus, whenever he referenced the technique he was working on in Chapter 418, he referred to it as "it". And at this point, if he was working on FRS, why wouldn't he just call it by it's name instead of "it"? So it can't be FRS that he's working on now.

im gonna have to agree with this. a long ass time ago jiraiya told naruto not to use "that" jutsu

this was before he learned how to do the wind rasengan i believe, so perhaps it could be dealing with the kyuubi or be something completely new we have yet to see

at this point, however, i dont think its the wind rasengan he is trying to perfect
but i can definitely see why anyone would think its the rasengan
