1st thing I said to myself when I saw Oxtopus was still alive was "wonder how many complaints it took for the author to change the fact he was defeated by sasuke."
and Sasuke might have known it was a fake. and either didn't care because it would let him escape from Madara for a little bit, or because if he tried to find oxtopus to finish him off, they'd all be defeated by him.

also, as far as pain goes... when he fought with jaraiya, it was 6v1 it seems all of them have split up this time. at least into 2 pairs of 3, so they wouldnt be as difficult.

I am pretty sure he has summon techniques that can instantly recall all 6parts of him. I really hope they don't kill off anyone too important, but i am anticipating a calamity because you can really count people who are capable of defending the village with one hand.

I think Pain split up specifically so the author can write 5 different fights against solo parts of Pain using the characters that haven't shown up recently. So over the next 17 years we can see those before Naruto says or does anything.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. It's pretty stupid to have developed so many characters, but never use them. And I love me some Neji fights. Maybe (probably not lol) he'll be the one to figure out wtf is going on with Pain with his super eyes.

I really hope the Killerbee subplot doesn't last too long, I like his character but there's too much shit all over. Sasuke/Madara, Pain and Naruto. I don't want the cool training Naruto has been doing to be put on the back burner for a 20 chapter lolpainsplitup fight.
