He hasn't really had much social growth in that time...but I don't think he's quite the same as when he was 12 either.

I'd rather not see any kind of romance whatsoever with Naruto, it would ruin the story I think. Better to stay focused on his journey to becoming Hokage. It would be nice to see him get with Hinata, but only as an epilogue once the story is finished, after he's crowned Hokage.

I don't think the writers would kill off someone who loves naruto till he acknowledges it and starts to like them. We can all see sakura is starting to like naruto but I think most people would prefer if he stayed away from that bitch. I think ino will end up with cho or shiki. An if hinata doesn't end up with naruto she will end up with kiba or shino.

If one character in naruto is gay it has to be Lee.

Unless you're Kishimoto, I don't think you have any leverage to say that no one will die. Pain's entire purpose in the manga is to inflict pain on others, he's said it like fifty times. He's in Konoha. Someone's going to die.

3rd Hokage and Jirayha dying were HUGE story events. No idea why anyone would think otherwise. To say it's alright for them to die but none of the team ninja's is kind of backwards imo.

But what about the "rookie" ninjas' parents? Ino's Dad seems to be way up there, same with Chouji's and Shikamaru's. I'm trying to think of a character who isn't insanely important to the storyline but would still be a big deal. Only person I can really think of would be Iruka. He already had a close call and got out, but we all know how that sometimes turns out in the manga.

What about.. uh, Anko? She's been out of the picture for a while hasn't she? I bet she could fuck some of Pein's toys up pretty bad, I mean her teacher WAS Orochimaru, and he wasn't exactly a pushover.

Ninjas from other villages maybe? Temari or Gaara? I dunno.
