i keep reading this thread for the anime posts but all i see is manga spoilers about kakashi possibly gitting pwnt. if kakashi dies in anyway and there's no hope of him coming back in the future then i declare this anime dead.

I don't think anything happened to Kakashi. Pein knew Kakashi has tricks up his sleeves and he even mentioned that he had better keep his distance just in case. Its possible that he got hit in the eye, but I just don't think that's the case, otherwise he wouldn't really be very useful anymore in the series

I know it's just fanboyism, but are you guys serious lol? Kakashi has showed up in like ten chapters total since Shippuuden started.

Anyways, it'd be cool if he became another body for Pain, but I doubt that'll happen. I doubt he's dead or even close to dying.

I'm envisioning some kinda doomsday scenario where Pein double-kills kakashi and shikamaru, then there really would be no point in reading anymore, because all that would be left is pein getting destroyed by naruto's new spirit bomb, sasuke and naruto teaming up to beat madara, then a final showdown at the waterfall for hokage where naruto wins blah blah blah.

It' premature to say he's killed until the next chapter, though it's probable. I really hope he can somehow deflect the freaking nail.

Not fanboyism, but he's just a great character. Even though he's only seen partially throughout Shippuuden, where he has been shown he's been a great asset to the team and village. To be honest, I'd rather have a manga based on Kakashi, going more in depth with him when he was a child with Obito and Rin.

If he doesn't die, that'd be great and all, but Pein isn't someone who would show sympathy for anyone, and even stated that if Kakashi was left alive he would just cause more problems for him. Someone posted above that maybe the nail went through his Sharingan, and even then, he's probably as good as dead.

I'm guessing the body he sacrificed gave Pein enough time to get his gravity field up again.

LMFAO, but yeah he'll probably come in and use his Superhuman Taijutsu speed, definitly use 6 of the 8 Gates of Chakra. Remember 8 gates of chakra users are faster than Garaa's defense, so I think they can penetrate Pain's defense between Gravity-usage intervals. Maybe he'll use all 8 Gates, and sacrifice himself and become the Hero of Konoha!

Also I agree with the healing slugs idea, she didn't release the healing chakra- en-fused-slugs for no reason...so they'll be used to save critically injured ninjas on the battlefield i.e. Kakashi.

I think turning to Gai would be a good idea. It'd be hilarious and his exact character response anyway. Would enjoy seeing that.

Gai or Lee's super-speed does make sense, unfortunately.

That's what i thought, except for the fact that Kakashi practically has no chakra left. He said that the lightning clone left him with roughly half his chakra, and Mangekyo practically drained his full chakra supply (nearly killing him) the last time he used it.

And yeah, If they kill off kakashi here I'm pretty much done with the series.

I also really wanna see Yamato go up against Pein in some form. Not sure how to exactly put this, but while Yamato isn't as individually deadly as Kakashi is or quite the same level of strategist, he's got some massive techniques and chakra reserves that would stack up well/make for a cool fight.

Yamato has become one of my favorites too, so I'm probably biased.
