And I'm confused. Did Kakashi use his eye to make the nail disappear? And if so, why wouldn't pain/pein notice that and just throw something else?

Danzo controls ANBU teams so he's dangerous i can imagine.

Read this page very carefully in the middle two panels, Naruto 424 page 17 | One Manga, yes it shows Ashura(demon realm) having a flash back at how Kakashi got rid of the nail, he basically used Kamui on it, as Deva(god realm) threw it. He then used Kamui again to make the missile disappear.

It seems like these pain bodies, aren't as strong as we all thought, as long as they are fought one on one.

That still doesn't expalin why pain just walked away and didn't finish kakeshi off. Since all 6 bodies share their visions, one pain seeing it would mean all of them know kakeshi made the nail disappear.

that's just ino's dad and his crew's ability, they can deeply analyze people's brains, (Anbu can do this too of course, recently in filler arc they used it on Naruto's memory to find out about oldman Gennou), but yeah they're inside the previous (summoning realm) pain body (one that jariya sent back to village to get analyzed), and trying to find out info on pain, but shizune has arrived w/ info on the Chakra Recievers, and the new (summoning realm) pain, and souleater/soulzapper realm pain are at the office now.

True, there must be a pretty damn valid reason for that pain body to just leave, especially right after saying "i need to kill him or he'll be a problem later" Maybe seeing the nail vanish made him go "oh crap this is unsafe"? That's the only thing I can think of, cause he wouldn't have just left him for dead without ensuring it. There might be somewhere pain needs to go to, maybe joining those other 2 bodies, or, the 2 OTHER bodies lol.

Maybe he walked away because he's seeing what another pain is, and is heading there to help him out. Notice how he looked at Ashura Pain, and noticed he was incapacitated, so he left. Yahiko/Deva/God realm or w/e u wanna call him, is freakin strong as hell w/ gravity repulsion/ attraction at his utility, so pair him up w/ another pain body or konan and u got ur self some ded neenja!

as for pien leaving, he left before the other shot the missile. so maybe he didnt noticed he teleported the nail away and thought he died. until he used it on the missile anyways. dont see why he wouldnt come right back after that though.
