It may be a little silly that he's wearing a sadcat mask, but in all honestly, I love the mask idea. The Village forehead protectors idea is fucking retarded. At least when people them on their head, I think it looks fine with people like Hidan who wears it hanging from his neck. Idk, just my opinion, I'd rather see every character with a unique mask than a boring huge ass piece of metal strapped to their forehead

I'm one of the doubters as well. Every other death has been pretty cut and dry--they seem to be dragging this out quite a bit, which makes me think he'll be back. Of course, I could be completely wrong, but I just have this feeling that Kakashi will live. If they do make him one of Pain's bodies I will be very upset. He's one of the best characters in the story and I feel like it would cheapen him to become one of Pain's minions, or whatever.

I'm actually kind of hoping Kakashi becomes another one of Pein's bodies. He would be that much more awesome. It's always great seeing a good guy become a bad guy. (Two Face anyone?)

Could you imagine Kakashi with an "unlimited" chakra reserve, or something along those lines? He'd be THE Pein body if that happened. Only person who wouldn't be scared shitless of him would be Madara or Sasuke most likely.

I'm thinking (read: hoping) that Kakashi is in a state between life and death. I'm lead to believe this because of Kakashi meeting his father. So after we get a chapter or two of Kakashi talking to his dad about some form of epicness his dad will say he is not yet ready to be with him and to be with Konoha. He'll then snap back to consciousness. But his body is probably in a comatose state and thus isn't showing much promise of being able to be healed.

This theory actually leads me to believe it's possible Tsunade does get killed here and Kakashi will come back to do something epic (or maybe not do anything at all...since it makes no sense for him to have chakra left) and become Hokage after a secret power up from daddy.

I don't see them both dying. And it fits the story better for Tsunade to die, though I'm not sure how that'll happen honestly, she has reraise...

Exactly. Kakashi hasn't completely crossed the line but he's close enough that he can communicate with the dead.

All I have to say is I'd much rather see Tsunade die than Kakashi. Either one of them dying will mess Naruto up, but Tsunade dying will push Naruto to his limits I bet. After Tsunade / Jiraiya he'd only have Kakashi and Iruka as "parental" figures, or whatever you'd like to call them.

I agree about it not mattering who dies between the two. If one dies, he'll be upset no matter what, but if both die? Oh boy. Talk about him going insane on whatever poor soul confronts him. Sasuke better avoid the village for now.

In his rage he will kill Sasuke, realize what he has done, and make a kage bunshin to rasengan himself. Sakura will finally prepare herself to confess her undying love for him, but find his corpse instead. Sakura has depressed sex with emo pale kid Sai, and they live unhappily ever after as the only remaining former villagers of Konoha. Everyone else dies in the Pain attack.
