I dunno, think of it as comparing a little league pitcher to a major league. Virtually 4-5 times as fast in potential if you consider Tsunade the major leaguer. Could he dodge some? Sure. Could she have shitty aim? Possibly. Would she hit one eventually? Imagine so if she actually went that route. It's hard to quantify her actual strength when most you see are boulders getting crushed, though.

In contrast, I don't think anyone aside from maybe an unlocked Gai/Rock could be considered a major league batter used to such speed. I won't call Pain a little leaguer, but so far he's given us no reason to believe he's a master of dodging when he's basically been using an invisible equivalent to Gaara's absolute sand defense. We've seen where Gaara depending on that too highly got him, after all.

An we didn't see Jiriaya really do much till his last fight. No one really knew about sage mode till he used it. For all we know Tsunade could have a trick of her own.

Pretty sure Tsunde will die. As soon as Pein came to the village i expected one of the "major" characters to die. Kakashi is obviously going to live with how long they are dragging his "maybe dead maybe not" thing out. Tsunade has been using up her chakra to heal people and also it makes sense that she dies. She is going to fight someone she used to know, plus with her dead it gives the chance for danzou to try and take over which is obviously going to happen.

I'm in the camp that hopes that Kakashi will become a Pein body. That'd be pretty awesome, if you ask me. I think Kishi made it pretty clear that Kakashi is dead, but that's just me. I personally saw Kakashi's death as being inevitable, same thing as Jiraya.

I'm interested to see what happens next though. Should be interesting to see the fight between Tsunade and the main Pein body. And I still say if Konohamaru takes down a Pein body, I quit.

Jiraiya looked funny in sage mode because he couldn't control the chakra that well. Tsunade has amazing chakra control (necessary for medical ninjutsu) so she can probably enter sage mode without changing looks at all. Though I doubt she even has a sage mode, I'm betting she has another high level move.

More like pondering ways to fuck up his gravity effect or attack after triggering it. Thinking of it as some invincible "I WIN!" bubble just makes his character even more lame. Replace kunai with jutsu or a freakin' pebble in Tsunade's case, doesn't really matter.

Running out of chakra and flooring his ass for extended periods of time has always been Kakashi's problem. Honestly, I think it's very fitting that he died the way he did. And really, he's not a huge character in the manga at all. Popular? Of course. Huge player? Not so much as he is popular.

I don't see how him being involved in almost every major part of the manga does not qualify him as being a huge character in the manga.

He is popular, hugely, but I think he is just as important to the story as almost everyone else. Well besides Naruto/Sasuke

Weren't the 'black bolts' of Pein's said to be something to the effect of chakra recievers/amplifiers? If so then I think Tsunade might have some kind of edge vs Pein's bodies considering how well she can disrupt/alter a person's chakra flow (Kabuto fight). Disrupt the chackra control and Pein's bodies should be pretty much useless no?

That would be pretty baller if Tsunade wins because she just matches up better against him than Jiraiya did. That and the knowledge of how Pain fights and transmits chakra makes it reasonable to me that she's able to take one or more of Pain's bodies out.

The extent of his involvement has been fights, with one or two instances of non-fighting that I would consider "important," those being when he tried to talk Sasuke out of leaving the village or even teaching Sasuke the Chidori, and that he was Naruto's teacher in the first place.

I agree with this. Soooooooo many times kakashi has been in a huge bind because he's run out of chakra or is nearly out. Everytime though someone or something happens that saves him. You can't keep dodging bullets. Eventually your luck is going to run out and I think that's all that happened.

However I'm one of those that thinks he's going to have some sort of vital sign when they get to him and he'll be saved. He'd probably be useless the rest of the manga or pretty much near end of it.

It will be a miracle if kakashi doesn't die, but if pein uses kakashi's body before he uses Jman's body then there is seriously something wrong going on. Like Jman isn't really dead and hes behind the scenes somewhere planning something.

For anyone who thinks this may be the last arc, take a look at other mangas that span 500, 700, or more. Something this popular there really isn't much reason to end it, it's one of the most popular and biggest money making that there is.

They bullshitted with him as a kid then did a time skip, you could very well see this arc end with pain dying, then another search for madara/sasuke, sasuke attacking, madara dying, a flashback arc of the 3 years he spent training, another fast forward of him becoming a jounin, maybe becoming a teacher, maybe becoming a hokage or sannin and having to deal with real issues like being attacked and shit.

Not to mention, they can always add new enemies. They added all of akatsuki, pain included, orochimaru stuck around for a LONG ass time, Madara came out of nowhere, they could bring back other unknowns or other major ninja's from other villages... not to mention other hokage's wanting to start war. Akatsuki getting defeated and maybe the tailed beasts being released back into the world... We're still left with sasuke's shit with killer bee and madara, that they could turn into an entire arc... god this shit could go on for another 500 chapters with how much money it's raking in now. Think DBZ.. Inuyasha sucked and it had over 500 chapters I think lol.

I pretty much realized this isn't gonna end anytime soon. A lot of stuff like the second scroll, the power itatchi gave naruto and what killerbee's brother plans on doing has yet to be touched. For all we know those 3 female ninjas they showed could be mechanically enhanced ninjas that turn on everyone and tries to take over the world. This may never end.

did they ever explain kakashi's backstory? how he got the sharingan, obito and rin and what part orochimaru played in it? It felt like it was hyped a bit but never got into any significant detail unless i missed it.
