I don't really see it as flying, if he's able to push objects away or pull them toward him then I'd just attributed that to him pushing away from the ground. Either way he's already broken, so I wouldn't see him flying as being stupid either.

But he could only do that in short intervals, at least, that's how he played it as.

Thats exactly what I thought, lol. All these "hidden villages" are pretty fucking huge. People can jump and navigate through trees but can't see the GD gate???? lol

It's surrounded by a massive forest so you wouldn't be able to find it unless you knew where it was most likely.

She could have been off to the side of the main blast, the jutsu's aftershock took out her building and such, but the main section targetted was saved by kuchiyose.

As it turns out, the Konoha that was destroyed by Pein was, in fact, a decoy Konoha. The real Konoha was safely elevated onto several pillars. Each pillar is defended by members of the Konoha 11. There is one body of Pein en-route to each pillar.
