Itachi and Kisame got the fuck out of dodge when Jiraiya showed up.

That never really made sense to me at all. Itachi was way way stronger the Orchimaru, yet Jiraiya and Orochimaru were evenly matched in strength. I can understand different styles etc but Itachi had Kisame as backup. And sharingan is supposed to be at its best in a 1v1 x_x

Jiraiya was full strength, Itachi was a bit weakened from having used his mangekyou technique on Itachi, if I recall correctly. This is making me miss Jiraiya.

It was actually never stated/shown that Jiraiya and Orochimaru were at the same level later in their lives. Early on they were fairly even, but I think after that Oro became obsessed with knowing jutsu and firstly pursuing eternal life, which he did for quite a while. With his focus on that he wasn't gaining power as quickly as he could have. Jiraiya wanted to save his friend and also stayed in Konoha for quite some time to teach the Fourth and such, so he probably stayed and trained his ass off.

If Orochimari was as powerful as a lot of people seem to think he is he wouldn't have had a million hideouts to keep himself from being found. I don't think Oro was really that powerful when you get into the big leagues. Sure, still S-class, but the lower ring of it. Jiraiya also came into Sage Mode and embraced the frogs fully where Oro hardly got along with the snakes. That can be a big power difference there.

Huh? "The Snakes"? I thought there was just one, or did I miss something crucial that wasn't in the anime? I don't think I read the sannin fight in the manga, was it mentioned there? That's the only time I can think of anything being mentioned about Orochimaru's snakes.

Don't forget that the only time Jiraiya and Orochimaru fought on-panel was with Jiraiya drugged and he still managed to do pretty well.

Jiraiya was affiliated with the frogs, Tsunade is with the slugs and Orochimaru is with the snakes. I highly doubt the whole frog society and such is exclusive to just that one animal. Orochimaru as far as we know hardly got along with Manda, where Jiraiya got a huge power boost (sage mode) and Tsunade massive AOE healing (slugs in Konoha atm).

I'm pretty sure the move the 4th used was kind of like the one the 3rd used on oro. The 4th even taught the 3rd that sealing move so the 4th must have had more then one type.

I'm pretty sure it was mentioned that no one went after naruto when Jman was training him because they all knew they were no match against Jman. He really was one of the strongest ninjas in the naruto series. I just find it kind of odd that they never mentioned finding his body or anything. You would think one of the legendary sanin die they would extract the body to give him a proper funeral.

When Naruto goes to kill Pain I have a feeling Kishi will have Naruto find JMans body!

But the water should have seriously done some damage to him under water unless Sage Mode keeps him in perfect condition!

And I am pretty sure that jutsu Naruto was seen while Fuku was sleeping is a projectile Wind Rasengan, would show more progression with Naruto seeing how he understands that it destroys his own body when he holds onto it for a long time.

I didn't forget, it just seemed fair as Orochimaru couldn't use his hands. Jiraiya was arguably in a better position. He was woozy but he could still make seals.

Alright, serious question: I have never watched a Naruto movie before, and was wondering if it's worth downloading. I heard mixed reviews, but I'm still undecided personally. I never watched a <insert shonen> movie before, and I'm keeping up with both OP and Bleach as well, so I don't know what to expect. Thoughts/opinions?

You should definitely watch them. I thought they were pretty damn good.
