Seems pretty dead to me unless:
A)Pein's Black rods restricted Naruto's ability to detect chakra(which has been demonstrated to enable the detection of every living thing in the city) Aka he thinks she's dead which is a really good indication on if she is or not.

He can only do this while in sage mode, and his sage mode has worn off (remember when Preta Pain had him in the Half Nelson, and he just pumped Sage energy into it (after Preta Pain absorbed his prevoius sage mode).

BTW, naruto wont stop growing tails in my opinion, (he'll just turn into full 9 tails)

Imagine if a girl u knew for 4-5 years, that you saw everyday, and she was one of ur friends, and was just under the "radar," and suddenly one day, u get jumped in an alley by 6 mindless thugs being controlled by a gang leader from his hidden strip club. And then the girl u knew (who secretly admired you) comes and tries to save your life, and gets killed at the hands of your enemies. Also, lets say you were a half-Saiyain and half-human, I bet you'd go SSJ2 and rip them nukkas apart. I naruto was like "HE TOOK MY FREE PUSSY ZOMG," and basically raged because of that too ...

Ohhh and dont get me started on Neji...he's basically a legendary character (in my opinion), who's gonna be even more pissed that his cousin got killed (if she really is)...Him and Naruto gonna do some portara earring or fusion dance action and rip a hole through pain...

Too much fucking Hinata hate. That, in itself, is fine, but since Naruto has to end up with SOMEONE...I mean, Sakura? Really? That bitch doesn't deserve Naruto. She's a total fucking stereotype and them being together would be like every other POS manga out there. Hinata may have been the stereotypical quiet type, but she's growing out of it, to the point where she might actually be interesting in the near future. Sakura's always going to be the crying one moment, rage out of nowhere bitch she was in volume 1.

6tails is pretty sick. Seems the fox manifests itself more and more depending on the amount of tails. Bone structure on top of naruto and all, nuts.

Pain came prepared to fight the fox, pain wanted it to come out. It's possible pain just wanted to push naruto over the edge by making it look like hinata was dead, although there was no reason not to kill her. I can foresee a Tsunade finding out Hinata did this after telling naruto she loves him, and pulling the "here is my life to bring you back" like what was done to gaara.

I just don't see getting rid of the love triangle. Sakura likes naruto more and more, hinata likes naruto, getting rid of one is meh.

As far as Pain's eye doing something after he stabbed her... Wouldn't it make sense that the Byakugan and Sharingan would have split from Rinnegan users? Maybe not, but since the creator of the ninja world was a Rinnegan user, I'd think it's possible that the Hyuga and Uchiha branches were divided and devolved/evolved from the original eye technique. Perhaps killing her, with one of his chakra rods, temporarily enhanced the Byakugan strain in him? There's no doubt he killed quite a few Hyuga within Konoha, so I dunno, just something to speculate on.

Hasn't it also been said that the Rinnegan is constantly pulsing like waves? Perhaps it was just a genjutsu used, and his eye pulsed super-hard or something in typical "dun dun superpower" anime/manga fashion, in order to make Naruto think she was dead to flip? Hard to say since I don't read Japanese, and I have no clue what the untranslated blip next to the eye meant. Perhaps if we know what the sound effect or whatever it may be means, we could speculate on this further. Anyone know?



Still hope she's dead, and I hope Sakura dies too, but I don't see that happening.

So glad she just got owned by Pein, bitch better stay dead. Naruto going 6-tails is straight awesome though. That mini nuke looked badass, I can't wait for the anime to catch up to these chapters, man it'll be so epic.

btw I'm not trolling, I really hate Hinata's character, she is useless and boring. Her only use was making Naruto get more interesting and giving Naruto a way out of the shitty situation he was in.

Care to elaborate on why? I know it doesn't really sound feasible and I don't necessarily think it's reasonable either, but at this point the last thing I'm thinking about for future chapters is the most expected, feasible things to happen.

With as many things that have happened that were completely unexpected recently, I wouldn't really rule anything out right now. I'm sure the Hinata fans didn't expect her to get killed considering she doesn't do shit anyway and was pretty much thrown away by Kishimoto as fodder to piss Naruto off.

Pretty sure sage clone disappeared the moment he went 6 tails. When he went one tail against deidara the clones were in pain and could swear one disappeared. But with 6 tails and sage clone having to stay focused to maintain that natural chakra there is no way that thing is still there focused and ready.

theres been at least 2 minor character deaths in naruto already. Azuma and Tsunada's secretary girl w/e her name is. and many other named characters have died. plus a shitload of unnamed.
