Luckily I don't think they can, since (IIRC) the Eight and Nine Tails were the only ones left after Akatsuki captured the Two and Three Tails.

And yeah, Killerbee definitely will (and should IMO) have a bit more added to it considering that there was a full blown fight between him and Sasuke in the manga.

the manga is so far ahead ahead of the anime. i think its ridiculous for them to put it off this much. sasuke hasn't even fought that narcissist bomb guy yet.

Right now it seems like the filler could end in like 3-5 episodes, but the Akatsuki aren't even involved in the action right now. We know they end up with the three-tails. They could either swoop in and steal the three-tails, while Orochimaru's flunkies and the Konoha crew are fighting; or they can show up, and have the resulting conflict stretch the filler out another five to fifteen episodes.

I'm probably one of the few that's never really been enraged by the concept of filler, but execution is important. In terms of the current arc, some of the episodes have been pretty slow on progression. I remember thinking back on the Sora shit that it'd hopefully be the wind beast, but we wound up getting cockblocked by some nine-tails clone.

I remember this pic from chapter 420 showing off all the hosts. Three does resemble Yuukimaru, but he certainly lacks the badass potential between that image and what we see now in the anime. Assuming the green flower thing is his, I can see that somehow tying into Guren training him after taking in the three-tails, but there's still the whole matter of Akatsuki getting him. When they do doesn't matter much, I guess, but eventually it'd have to be done.

I think they are putting a filler in on every second arc 'cause the manga is going to end soonish (maybe 1-2 more arcs?) and they want the anime to last for 5yrs+ at least. Sad But, at least they seem to be making an effort to make the fillers tie into the real story unobtrusively (building up characters like Asuma/Chiriku so their deaths are more meaningful etc).
