Was probably trying to draw him out since he's so fucking power hungry, he'd probably come out of hiding as soon as it looked like there was no leadership alive.

I think they are putting a filler in on every second arc 'cause the manga is going to end soonish (maybe 1-2 more arcs?) and they want the anime to last for 5yrs+ at least. Sad But, at least they seem to be making an effort to make the fillers tie into the real story unobtrusively (building up characters like Asuma/Chiriku so their deaths are more meaningful etc).

I'm so tired of people saying the manga is going to end soon.. The manga still has such a long way to go with the speed its going at right now...

Yeah, it took how long for Naruto vs Pein? There's still Sasuke, Madara, Killer Bee AT LEAST left that need big fights. There are still more Akatsuki members left (Kisame + two-face) and there's Danzou to deal with. And it's not impossible for Madara to not be the final boss.

madara scars me to no end though. i never seen a villian like him before. so clutzy/funny/yet when the time comes, serious as hell and ridiculously strong. i cant wait to see him at his full form. but what kind of story can he come up with after that? hes going to the roots of the entire ninja government and fixing it one by one. D;

Madara is only the roots of KONOHA. There are 5 different "large ninja countries" of which Konoha is only one and I believe Pein is the leader of only a minor one. They can easily throw in a Konoha vs 1-2 ninja villages war, it's actually set up very well atm with Konoha being weak and other countries possibly looking to take advantage of that. And you could easily stretch out a war over 2 years, probably even more.

oh good point. but how manys roots are they going through so far? they are basically covering the rain and konaha atm with a little bit of sand. i can def see them stretching it. i would love to see another portion of the series with naruto and everyone else as adults with konohamaru's generation stepping up.

Pein is the leader of a small ninja village, not one of the big 5. Konoha and Sand are 2 of the 5, we have no idea what's going on in the other big 3 atm. But I can't imagine the manga ending without even touching those 3 other countries. It's too good and too popular and Shonen mangas never end.

Well then my prediction will be that before anyone goes to fight Madara he begins a war with Konoha and possibly allies himself with the other big country(stone) for it to be a big ass brawl.

it seems likely. we dont really know anything about stone country (i think the 2tal chick was from there?)but i think they are meant to be pretty hostile towards konoha . i can see stone/water v fire/sand and fuck knows what those thunder village people are doing, it was so long ago i cant even remember anymore

The two-tails(Yugito), was from the Lightning country. We don't know(yet), which jinchuriki belonged to the Stone country.

From the picture of all the Jinchuurikis, it looks like the 4 and 5 tails might be from the stone country. Their headband symbols look like a couple of rocks, unless that symbol has been used for something else already.

Yeah, both the four and five tails both sport the Iwa headband, which is Iwagakure.

So I was wrong, we do know which jinchuriki belonged to Iwa.
