Anyone notice this summon looks like Anima from Final Fantasy X? Someone pointed it out on Mangahelpers. They also said the JP symbols for "Pain" appeared when it used it's souleating technique. Anima's main ability was "Pain" in FFX (overdrive Oblivion) o.0. Anima actually comes from some folklore shit anyways though, so it's not exclusive to FFX onry .

Most things in anime are based on Japanese Buddhism or Shinto. Princess Mononoke and Inuyasha, for example, are almost (i don't want to blanket statement) entirely based on Shinto.

One definiton of gedou means non-buddhist teaching. Another definition is heresy or unorthodoxy. This second definition is related to the first, in that to go against buddhist teachings is heresy.

mazou can also mean heresy/evil ways or sorcery/magic.

So, literally it means something like heretical sorcery.

Anima, is the feminine latin word for "soul" or "breath". It was believed that your soul was stored in your chest, and when you died the soul escaped your body on your last breath.

The relation between this "gedou madou" technique and FFX's Anima, is that they both cause instant death with their attacks. "gedou madou" is sucking out souls, and supposedly Anima is as well, if you go with the fact that her name means soul, and her attack is instant death.

I don't know the relationship with both using the word "pain".

From here on, it's to the story of the novel
The story begins with the protagonist himself becoming [like] Nagato[Unsure]
At the end, when he's going to say his name,
Naruto: "It's Naruto"
Nagato comes back to himself when that is said.

[Nagato?:] "'We trained under the same master... We can understand each other', huh"

Arm[s] strech[es] out form the wheelchair, and Nagato start making seals.
[Nagato:] "I've been wanting to believe in you... Uzumaki Naruto!!"

That's why I prefer to wait for the Binktopia scanlations. Theirs are usually more accurate, and less ridiculous.

It's pretty obvious that Kakashi's students are going the same path the Third's students did.

Sasuke = Orochimaru.
Sakura = Tsunade
Naruto = Jiraiya.

Jiraiya is a wanderer, so I'm assuming Naruto will do the exact same thing. I want him to be angry though, go around killing all the ninjas he can find and leaving normal civilians to eventually take stuff over.

its not so much about him abandoning them. its about him siding with the man who destroyed the village. no matter how much of a good side Naguto takes after coming to his senses, the villagers cant forgive him for a long, long time. its similar to how gaara was with the sand village. except naguto has the strongest villian in the series after his blood for turning to the light side. (most likely)

I'm thinking more Pain's gonna emo summon whatever he's been storing the tailed beasts in, tries to drain Naruto, but that screws up and they all break free, beginning some kind of war between the nations since "Konoha started it!" and so on as they go wild and destroy shit. Maybe even the Fox will get extracted without killing Naruto, but Madara gets ahold of it, too.
