I'm sure Nagato is gonna give Naruto something. Or he's gonna try to and Hanzou or Danzou (I dunno which one is which anymore) is gonna come in and kill Nagato or Konan before he does.

Or Nagato is gonna summon his 'thang and do SOMETHING to Konoha, or to himself, or whatever.

If he does that, it would kind of make sense as to why there wasn't a huge sendoff for kakashi and also Shizune is gone as well. So we are looking at a massive rewind/restoral with Nagato sacrificing his life in the process, an eye technique transfer, or a way to control the 9tails.

I likes the chapter. It was nice seeing how Jiraiya based his story on a young Nagato.

I doubt he'd be doing some sort of rewind. Not only would it cheapen everything that's happened up to this point, but I doubt Nagato currently has the energy to be able to pull off a huge jutsu like that.

Eye transfer is most likely (and hopefully) out as well, since a complete transfer would require him to pluck out his own eyes, no?

My best guess would be either a releasing of the tailed beasts (so that they're not easily accessible anymore to those that want to exploit their power) or a partial transfer of his power in some capacity similar to what Itachi did. And while Naruto definitely won't be killing him, I think that someone will show up to put an end to Nagato in his weakened state.

No, eye transfer justu is more of a chakra based transfer. You don't need to pluck out the persons eye and pluck out your own and then insert the dojutsu eye. Naruto would be reluctant to take a bloodied eye like that anyways...especially if he had to pluck out his own eye to put it in.

If you go back to Itachi giving Sasuke Mangekyo Sharingan, all he did was tap him on his forehead, and that transfered the dojutsu chakra. So no, eye transfer has nothing to do with physical eye transfer, more of a spiritual chakra transfer.

as far as itachi making him use the flame thing, not really explained how that happened, but that =/= eye genetics, but chakra

and in regards to posts above ^ you cant transfer eyes without transfering the actual... eyes. Well. The pein bodies had rinnegan but that, i assume, is an effect of a jutsu and would require nagato to be alive and in control of said body.

Kakashi has sharingan because it is literally obito's eye, taken out.

Itachi transfered his techniques such as Tsukyiomi to Sasuke, but not Mangekyou. That activated because Sasuke had killed his closest bond, who by that time, was Itachi.

Another reason why Kashi cant be dead. Kishi said he would explain how Kashi activated the mngekyou. it would be pointless in doing a backstory if the guy was dead.

he did a backstory on itachi from tobi's explanations after he was dead lol. anything is possible at this point, but i like the way kakeshi went out. he had one of the most honorable deaths in the series and for him to come back after that, would ruin the epic moment in my eyes ;

yeah but itachi's backstory was relavant to plot, whereas kakashi getting mangekyou really isnt, as far as i can tell
