I wouldn't call that being emo, the flashbacks showed his thought process and explains why he isn't going to give information on Sasuke out. And it's not "because Sasuke is my friend!" it's because if they killed Sasuke, Konoha ninjas would then want to kill those guys for killing Sasuke. So his reasons for not giving out information is because of his recent conversation with Pein, not because of his love for Sasuke. It's again showing that Naruto is maturing.

so the question is.. aside from Naruto and Sakura, who would kill for Sasuke for Naruto to think sasuke getting killed would cause a huge chain reaction of "hatred".
It would go more like this;
/sasuke dies
Sakura: noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cry cry cry
Naruto: nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cry cry cry cry
Kakashi: dumbass kid got himself killed.
everyone else: oh well.

while in reality, even if Naruto told them where and how to kill sasuke, sasuke would still not die.

Sakura would hate whoever killed Sasuke, most likely. And she is in a position to be a fairly influential person in the future. As well, the reason they want to kill Sasuke is because they think he killed the 8-tails, but the 8-tails isn't dead and will be found to be alive at some point. Thus it'll look like the hatred and reasoning for killing Sasuke was no reason at all, yet it still caused a chain of hatred and revenge, which would make some people even more angry.

As for the kages and such...the first guy at least looks like he is easily killable by Sasuke, heh. They don't all appear as strong as they really should be.

1st impression is usually off on characters like that. look at rock lee. remember he got beat up by those guards? lol even tho he was semi acting. who knew he would give gaara a run for his money?

i bet you each of those kage's got a trick up their sleeve. im more interested in the woman though. i like how pro-feminine she is.

Yeah, I think that's why Danzo was having her tailed. The three of them were probably rather close to finding Kabuto before they came back to the village.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. At this point it would just be Naruto and Sakura raging if Sasuke were killed. But to Eagle's point, even just having one person raging (Sakura) after the fact would still amount to the "chains of hatred" continuing. Plus like he said, the fact that Killerbee's still alive renders trying to kill Sasuke a bit meaningless, since their first priority should be to find their master.

Reread the prior chapter, yeah Sai mentions that he actually found Kabuto. They were going to pursue until Yamato realized that Naruto had gone 6-tails. So Danzo keeping an eye on Anko and possibly assassinating her seems to tie into her finding Kabuto and/or her prior connections to Kabuto/Oro.

Mizukage seems pretty interesting... and one of the 7 Swordsman is a kid with confidence issues.

How many 7 Swordsmen have we seen now? Three, right? Zabuza, Kisame, now this kid (who looks like he's going to tear some nasty shit up, I can already tell). Suigetsu is just from the hidden mist village, not a swordsman, right? Also, do we know how many are left?

No, Asuma is one of the 12 Ninja Guardians of the Fire Country (also a Jonin from the Hidden Leaf Village) who was killed by Hidan.

The 7 Swordsmen of the Hidden Mist Village are from Water Country or w/e.

There's only 3 of the 7 Swordsmen that are mentioned in the Manga now, Kisame Hoshigaki (former), Zabuza Momochi (former & deceased), and that Chōjūrō kid w/ the glasses and duel sword we see now protecting the Mizukage. There's also a 4th that we've seen, but only in the Anime is where we've seen him, and his name was Raiga Kurosuki (former & deceased). So counting Raiga Kurosuki, we've seen 4 of the 7 Swordsmen, the other 3 are Missing-nin.

This Obito=Danzou thing is getting quite interesting. I wonder if Kishimoto is setting us up for an obvious trap with the fact that Danzou has a right eye bandage and now is claiming that his right arm needs to be fixed. However, I would think that he is far too old to be Obito.
