Good chapter either way. I'll be honest that I wanted to see what Sakura's reaction would have been to see what Naruto went through with to not rat out his friend, Sasuke.

Danzou isn't Obito or Madara's brother, you're all over complicating plot lines, neither of those would make any sense. The idea that he simply stole the eye a la Kakashi style after the Massacre makes much more sense. His eye was damaged long ago, you can see the scars when he lifted the bandages at the end of this chapter, so after the massacre he probably said, fuck it and took an eye to replace his already fucked up one.

The reason he's left it covered up is obvious, how good do you think it would look if an entire clan was wiped out and some guy was walking around with one of their eyes? Of course he had to keep it a secret, lol. Danzou isn't some other character, he's just gotten access to a sharingan, no reason to get worried, imo.

Yeah you guys are way over thinking things, I mean if Kakashi could figure out how to replace an eye as a kid, Danzou certainly could. Of course he would of needed help from a healer-nin but he coulda just killed them afterwards.

He's way to old to be Obito, and too young? to be Madara.

What I'm confused about is how old Madara is supposed to be, if he fought with the First before Konoha was founded, he has to be super old right? Well over 100.

Of course then there is the whole theory of the real Madara controlling sharingan users from the shadows, in that case Tobi could be Obito's body being controlled by Madara, hell even Danzou could be controlled by him.

What I'm interested in is what's going to happen to Kakashi and Yamato? They've just agreed to help Naruto see the Raikage, which involves leaving the village. Danzo has given orders to not allow Naruto to leave. I'd imagine that Kakashi and Yamato would run interference on whoever tries to stop them in order to get Naruto out, which means they'd have directly disobeyed the Hokage.

Also looking forward to seeing what Danzo can do in battle. Hope that they don't have his little skirmish off-panel. Even if the fight only lasts a couple panels, I'd like to see something.

And I'll say again, Naruto needs to eventually stop with this whole "I'll redeem Sasuke" and "I'll convince them to forgive Sasuke" shit. I'm really hoping that Sasuke actually does something, anything at the summit that can be seen as unforgiveable, and that Naruto witnesses it, so that he can finally snap out of his love for Sasuke.

Know what would be funny though? Have Sasuke attack Naruto by mistake, since he's now disguised as Danzo.

madara's little brother was supposed to resemble sasuke to the bone. you dont really hear of him dieing, but i dont think danzou is what sasuke would like it in 50 years lol.

Right but I assume any medical nin could do it, never been said Rin was some sort of medical prodigy or anything.

Not saying that she was, but it was mainly to say that a normal "fighting type" ninja can't do medical stuff...so Danzo didn't put his Sharingan in himself. But in hindsight I might actually have misinterpreted the original "if Kakashi managed to put his Sharingan in"...but yeah: Rin wasn't a prodigy, afaik.

Now see, that would be perfect actually. Sasuke crashes the summit and attempts to kill Danzo, Gaara and the other kages interfere, Danzo slips away in the confusion, and Gaara is killed during the confrontation. After everything Naruto went through converting Gaara pre-timeskip and then saving him from Akatsuki, I'd imagine and hope that Sasuke killing Gaara would be the thing that finally snaps Naruto out of his "I'll save Sasuke" mindset.

I'm not looking for Naruto to completely change and hate/want to kill Sasuke. I just want him to stop thinking that he can convince others to not hate the kid.

Eh, I'm betting that Naruto will stop any killing blow of Sasuke's from happening and confront him in a 1v1 to turn him back to his side. We'll see, but with Naruto's way of thinking now I don't know if he'd be able to kill Sasuke and that means the only option is for him to turn Sasuke back, which won't work well if Sasuke kills a kage.

Gaara isn't dying. Kakashi isn't dying. Anyone who has already "died" and been brought back to life isn't going to die again. It's as simple as that.

As far as Danzou being Madara is concerned, I doubt that. Kishi is most likely trying to make us think that Danzou is Tobi/Madara because this is way to blatant. Then again... Minato being Naruto's father was too.. <.<

I'm glad someone else sees it like this, it just makes the most sense to me(although that's probably why it won't be correct...).


I'm betting on their being some sort of conflict, other than the attack on Danzo currently happening, before the actual summit. I don't really know who at this point, but I doubt it'll be Gaara Vs. Sasuke. I'm really curious to see how Naruto and company will get out of the village though, since Danzo ordered that he not leave.

Maybe Kabuto? I mean, it's already been said that Danzou had workings with Orochimaru and Kabuto, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the reasons he's tracking Kabuto down now is not only to get the regenerative abilities from him, but also to keep him quiet about the Sharingan. The way Danzou has been shown to be I wouldn't be surprised if he got the help from Kabuto then killed him, or at least attempted to.
