that and how AL's leader pegs against jirarya. it would be tremendously interesting to have a epic battle between those two, though i dont' see it happening anytime soon.

I'm a bit surprised that they suddenly revealed Pein as they did. I was moreso expecting Naruto etc to pick up the book that Kabuto gave them and turn to a page and say something that would lead into a panel showing Pein. Also, it's amusing after he's revealed, a new shadowy figure sort of steals his spotlight.

I believe they've all been promised to get the powers of one of the (ichibi?) legendary beasts, which put together with their high class skills and jutsu would make them the most powerful force around. They're not the stupid enemies that think they're stronger than everything in the world, at least not before they get the chakra of one of the beasts.

Not quite - "kono Uchiha Madara no chikara ga", and although my japanese is terrible, roughly says "this power of mine, Uchiha Madara...". So he could be saying he has obtained the power of Uchiha Madara or he is, I'm not too sure, if someone with a better understanding of Japanese could enlighten us, would be much appreciated :D

Although, the hole is on the right side, and it was Tobi's left eye he gave to Kakashi iirc, and the sharingan is only 3 marked, but who knows. So perhaps not Obito, but could also be him bluffing? We shall find out soon, I guess.

The Tobi-Obito theory has been around for awhile, with some pretty impressive evidence to back it up. I'm more sad at how AL and Shadowy Figure #2 were revealed at the same time. The female Akatsuki seems pretty sick though. Hopefully she gets lots of pagetime the next few months.

There was a previous chapter when Sasuke is in Naruto's mind and Kyuubi mentions an Uchiha Madara. Whether it's some ancestor or another surviving one is the only thing that would disproove the Tobi-Obito theory.

I can't remember where I read it but Uchiha Madara is supposed to be the original Uchiha or something of that sort. Time to find out most of the Akatsuki are bieng lied to and some ridiculous plot line involving sasuke, itachi, and the tailed spirits(forget what they're called) will enable tobi to summon madara and steal his eyes or some bullshit so he can have his power.... I think I've been reading too much Oh! great, hurray convulted plot lines.

If the first episode was any indication, it wont be fun to watch the dragged out fight. There was something like 3 freaking attack in the whole episode, and a bunch of animation in loop...and then....people....started...to...talk.....very.... slowly....
