(Shisui's Sharingan had a doujutsu that allowed him to go into his opponent's mind and manipulate them, even without the opponent realising it)

He questions Danzou about it: I too once fought a Hyuuga and got a transplant, but...
What if I were the one who unravelled the Fourth Mizukage (四代目水影).

lulz, seems everyone and their mother is going to have some sort of transplanted doujutsu. Previously I was working on the assumption that the Byakugan couldn't be transplanted since it seemed to required a special activation of some sorts. Oh well, guess I was wrong.

Interesting though, that Danzo apparently not only had his eye transplanted but also his arm. And if I remember correctly, the guy he got the eye and arm from was Itachi's friend that he had killed to obtain the Mangekyou? Weird though... I thought it had to be transplanted from a live person. Danzo somehow got to Shisui and took his eye before he died?

What I do like is the rookies getting together to have their own discussion. Really pushes forward the idea of the new generation taking over the older one. Plus it's good to see they came to a conclusion that any normal person would in their shoes (having to kill Sasuke). I'm gonna assume that's why Ino was crying, since I'd imagine that would be a hard decision for them to have to come to grips with.

And wait... so Zetsu appears in front of all the kages?? I would've thought he'd stay behind the scenes and let it all come down on Sasuke. Oh well, at least it means that shits about to go down.

Yeah.. interesting that the guy has the Byakugan. I too thought it was a family only sort of thing. I suppose everyone we see with a patch over the eye now, we should just assume he's got some special eye.

The meeting of the Rookie 9 seems really cool. I like that they have their own meeting to discuss the ruling about Sasuke and come to the same decision. I also like the Sakura didn't seem to get overly emotional about it, and just declares she has to find Naruto. Maybe she wants to snap him out of his 'bring Sasuke back' stupor and do something about it. I hope that's the case and she makes he realize that he doesn't *have* to do that.

Either way, this seems like a fun setup chapter for big clash at Hokage hill.

And yeah, Gaara's fucking awesome in that picture even when doing nothing.

Weird. I was also pretty sure the Byakugan couldn't be used by other people. And doesn't it require hand signs or something to activate it? Maybe it's permanently active in non-Hyuga's, sort of like the Sharingan? I'm happy that I wasn't too far off on how Danzo got his eye though :3

The Hyuuga clan are a lot more restrictive on the Byakugan compared to the Uchihas and the Sharingan. That whole main family/branch family type deal with the cursed seal. If a branch member was killed, forget about extracting the eye. But if it was a main house member...

And no, it's not activated by hand signals, and I don't doubt the part about perma-active.

Can't say I didn't see "Danzou Sharingan Transplant" plotkai coming. However Danzou being able to manipulate others subtly, and the entire world vs Sasuke now makes everything to come awesome.

Yeah, I'm aware of the whole cursed seal business on branch family members; that's what makes it weirder. It makes it very likely that the eye is from a Hyuuga from the main house, but wouldn't someone have noticed that? The members in the main house are obviously the more respected in the family, and no one noticed one of them being killed/having an eye stolen?

And are you sure about not needing hand signs? It might just have been the anime that made me think this, haven't really seen a Hyuuga in action in the manga in a while.
