That was an awesome chapter and I think Shisui was indeed Itachi's friend, meaning he was probably killed by Danzou, and dundundun.

The Sakura bit was pretty good. Wonder what she means though? She said 'the fool's in love with me' in a way that didn't scream "Eww gross" so there's hope yet that she'll drop that god damn fangirl "SASUKEEEEE" obsession of her's.

so the "eye of moon plan" is to take from danzou's right eye "left eyeball" (yes! he probably get implant from shisui left eye ) left eye contains as itachi said Tsukuyomi - god of the moon - genjutsu techniques (that's way he can use controlling genjutsu from his "right eye" on mifune)

The guy on mangahelpers might be on to something, this was Madara's plan...remember. Left eye is the one that uses Tsukuyomi while right eye uses Amatserau.

I don't think it would be that lopsided. I wanna say that Neiji and Shikamaru would definitely make shit interesting. Really hard to underestimate Shikamaru; dude is fucking brilliant. Definitely smarter than Sasuke. Also Lee should know some tricks for fighting Sharingan users (sup Gai).

And I'll be honest... the thought that they were actually setting up Sasuke never crossed my mind for some reason. But I likes it. Makes Madara out to be an even bigger douchebag. Wonder what Sasuke's gonna do now, once he realizes he's waltzed right into a trap.

So we were right about the byagukan needing a hand sign... guess it isn't restricted to the Hyuga though. Too bad that Zetsu appeared just as Danzo was about to be confronted, but meh I'm more interested in the trap set for Sasuke now.

My take on Sakura/Naruto... they're both coming or have come to the same conclusion, that they need to let go of Sasuke. I think that's what Sakura is going to talk to Naruto about (to let the rookies go after Sasuke), and I think that's where Naruto's line of thought was bringing him anyway (starting to realize that Sasuke is becoming a criminal, and not understanding him anymore).

BTW... interesting theory that Danzo's right eye is actually the left eyeball of Shisui. Makes sense considering the way the Sharingan works, and could potentially be what Madara is after.

This, please. I really liked that they're finally realizing that they rely on Naruto too much. I want to see the other rookies, without Naruto, go up against Sasuke. Would be nice to get them some of the spotlight (I'd still really like to see Neji vs Sasuke). I'm in agreement with Beckwin though... I think they'd put up a really good fight (especially considering the emotions involved), but in the end I'd want to see them get beaten down hard so that Naruto rages more and comes closer to stopping his "save Sasuke" nonsense.

Another thought- Madara needs that other eye to summon that big fucking demon that stores the bijuu/extracts them? Pain could do it. And when Sasuke and Itachi fought, we saw some sort of similar dead-god summon thing using sharingan....

I think Madara mentioned something about things getting complicated by Pain's death... I'll dig a bit.

Another pawn to sync with Gedo Mazo, which I think is the bijuu extractor demon summon. and Tobi/Madara will be attending to it personally. This could mean taking Danzo's eye, or just luring Sasuke into a trap to take his/his eyes? Although I have to wonder why he's let so many Mangekyo Sharinga slip away already... Itachi, Sasuke, even Kakashi and of course Danzo. And as far as we know there aren't any other Rinnegan floating around that can summon it.

Thinking about it more, that's a good point. If part of Madara's plan was to obtain another eye, why wait to get Danzo's? If another eye was so important, he already has Itachi's just sitting there waiting to be used. With that in mind, I see three possible reasons/explanations:

1) His plan does not involve obtaining another eye at all.

2) Possible that you obtain the eye in its current condition when you get a transplant, and it just doesn't deteriorate further. This would explain why he doesn't take Itachi's since they've already deteriorated a bit, and also somewhat explains why he and his brother didn't just switch eyes way back when.

3) There's something special about Danzo's/Shisui's eye, making it necessary for Madara's plan.

2 and 3 of course assume that Madara's plan involves obtaining another eye.

As for Gedo Mazo, as far as I know it's only a Rinnegan summon so another eye wouldn't help in that regard. IIRC Madara's issue with Pain's death was losing his reincarnation jutsu, though we don't know what he had planned to use it for.
