for some reason I'm thinking Gedo Mazo isn't exclusively a rinnegan summon... idk, something more like a tailed beast that can be controlled/pacted with. rinnegan was even rarer than sharingan, so I dunno where Madara will get another rinnegan person to sync with Mazo... introducing a brand new rinnegan user into akatsuki would be kinda lame.

I think another pawn to sync with gedo was that he just needs more people to help summon it. If you remember they always had a lot of people and it took a while to get it out, losing pein and konan, and several others, he probably needs just manpower to summon it.

At least, thats what I would think considering konan was just mentioned in the same panel.

The thing with Shisui's eye was that it could control people without the other person realizing it right? So who says it's ability is only limited to humans? Maybe Tobi/Madara wants Danzou's other eye to use on the Gedo Mazo so he can control it, or attempt to control it?

I mean we've only seen him use his one eye, so I bet he's missing the other. And it's the correct spot, isn't it? His right eye is missing. Maybe the combo between his eye and Shisui's is the "key" to controlling Gedo Mazo or something, I dunno.

Also, agreed on wanting to see a Neji v. Sasuke fight. Neji, Lee & Shikamaru are the only people I see standing any chance against Sasuke. If all 3 of them teamed up against him I don't think Sasuke would be able to win.

The rest of the "Rookie 9" would probably be bait for Sasuke's group. Although Shino.. I haven't seen much from him, no clue what he can dish out. Kiba too, I guess. Raw power, can track like a mother fucker. Rest are meh.

Maybe to summon the thing at its full power you need a sacrifice. Madara can't do it because Pain is no longer around with his resurrection jutsu. That's why he said a "pawn" to sync with Gedo Mazo.

I was rereading some chapters last night, and I noticed how Sasuke finding and killing Itachi was a "just as planned" thing for Madara. It might just be because Itachi fell ill or Sasuke has more potential and Madara simply wanted the most badass henchmen, but again I think it may have something to do specifically with eye abilities.

and now another question that pops up is where is Madara's other eye?????? dun-dun-dunnnnnnnnnn. damaged or does someone else have it?

I think Naruto is being both overestimated and underestimated at this point.

His sage mode seems highly situational, since he has to keep clones in frog mountain in order to sustain the chakra for it, he has to have a decent amount of prep time. He can't just pop it out (yet) whenever he decides it's a good idea to get serious.

That said, given the actual prep time, in sage mode he's probably the strongest good-side character in the entire series at this point, this was even referenced by some people during pain's arc.

I'm sure that given the circumstances, he would definitely fight Sasuke seriously, he did it once so there's no way anyone can say that he could never do it. I just don't see it happening, really.

The white Zetsu was the one that was with Sasuke a few issues back to point out Danzou, so I'd imagine he at least knows he's gone or told him to jump out of nowhere like that.

Think people are just desperate to find a reason to screw Sasuke at this point. While the ninja world is practically doing everything it can to paint him out as a bad guy, it feels like he's trying to do some good in his own twisted way. Not unlike Itachi, I guess.

Pretty sure Sasuke isn't trying to doing anything good anymore. He kinda got his revenge, found out Itachi was ordered to do what he did, and is now going after the person who gave the order. After he kills Danzou (if he kills Danzou) I doubt he'll stop there.

I don't think Sasuke would kill for the sake of killing either, though, so I'm not sure if I'd agree with the idea that once he kills of Danzou he'd just keep going. Everything he's done since he left Konoha has been motivated by revenge. Once he kills Danzou and the other Elders, where does he go from there? It could be revealed that someone else could have had a hand in plotting the Uchiha massacre, but that'd feel like such a damn cop-out, and Kishi has been doing a good job with plot for a while now. I'd sooner be content with Sasuke just offing himself once he gets rid of anyone involved with what Itachi did because of closure than something come up that sends him on another fit of revenge.

Of course he'd be hunted like the criminal he is and I'm sure he'd kill in self-defense, but I really can't see him becoming a villain such as one who kills for thrills.

Shikamaru is practically infallible. It's awesome.
