If Neji, Lee, and Shikamaru all teamed up and kept away from Sharingan, then yeah, Sasuke wouldn't have a chance, but I think we all know it'll be Naruto vs Sasuke V2.

If Sasuke doesn't speed blitz Shikamaru and take him out at the beginning of the fight, he loses. Otherwise he'll find himself suddenly unable to dodge a mountain-shattering kick from Lee or Neji's hax-strike thanks to shadow-dickery.

Speculation just for the fun of it... so who fights who should the rookies (minus Naruto, Sakura, and possibly Sai) meet up with Sasuke's team?

My picks:

Sasuke vs Neji, Lee, Shikamaru: Agreeing with what others have said so far. Sasuke's a pretty big powerhouse now, so I think they'd need to throw some of the strongest at him. That'd be Neji and Lee IMO, and then Shikamaru to work out a good strategy for the fight. Would also depend on the three knowing to fight without looking Sasuke in the eyes.

Suigetsu vs Shino: Yup, 1 on 1. Doesn't seem like anyone else would have any attacks that could hurt Suigetsu, since he can just turn into water. At least the bugs can eat away at his chakra or something.

Jugo vs Kiba, Tenten, Hinata, Choji: Jugo's pretty damn strong in his own right, especially when using the cursed seal and when in his bloodlust. I'd think he'd need to be ganged up on a bit in order to be taken down.

Karin vs Ino: Eh, just throwing these two against each other since they both seem pretty useless in battle.

Neji and Lee distract Sasuke while Shikamaru plays Go with Asuma's ghost waiting for Sasuke to use a new super-Chidori that creates a huge shadow in the process, then Shikamaru will just make the shadow rape Sasuke, etc..

Shikamaru is easily my favorite of the Rookies, followed closely by Neji. Fight would be awesome, but hopefully Lee would get killed.

I don't think Sasuke would kill for the sake of killing either, though, so I'm not sure if I'd agree with the idea that once he kills of Danzou he'd just keep going. Everything he's done since he left Konoha has been motivated by revenge. Once he kills Danzou and the other Elders, where does he go from there? It could be revealed that someone else could have had a hand in plotting the Uchiha massacre, but that'd feel like such a damn cop-out, and Kishi has been doing a good job with plot for a while now. I'd sooner be content with Sasuke just offing himself once he gets rid of anyone involved with what Itachi did because of closure than something come up that sends him on another fit of revenge.

Of course he'd be hunted like the criminal he is and I'm sure he'd kill in self-defense, but I really can't see him becoming a villain such as one who kills for thrills.

I wanted to add that iirc Sasuke didn't want anyone killed when he was assembling his team either. He wounded a shitton of people, but I don't recall him just blazing through slaying everything in his way. Sasuke has just been painted as a man on a mission, more/less.

I hope they don't shaft a v2 of Naruto vs Sasuke, mostly because it's been building for so long it would seem like a let down if they didn't fight. I like Shikimaru, but I really hope it's not like "All the Rookies own Sasuke." >_>;

As it stands now, I don't think Naruto would try to fight Sasuke due to his new outlook and such. IMO it needs to be made really personal in order for Naruto to actually fight Sasuke again... and I'm thinking that the rookies going after Sasuke is what will do it. While I think they'll put up a good fight, I really doubt that the rookies would be able to defeat Sasuke and his team.

Sasuke won't actually kill any of them (since I do tend to believe that he doesn't want to kill anyone except those directly involved with the Uchiha massacre). Methinks either Sasuke and team will severely injure some if not all of the rookies, or (not as likely) one of Sasuke's members will go against orders and actually kill one of the rookies. Either of those options would drive Naruto to finally confront Sasuke.

Wtf is that girl on Sasuke's team gonna do? She's like Sakura, just... less useful (wow I can't believe I just said that). Sure, she can sense chakras and do the bitey refill thing. But other than that what is there?

She'd probably own Ino somehow because Ino is fucking retarded.

It's kind of sad that I can't recall any useful females in the manga. Tsunade was probably the closest to some kind of useful, but somehow I still consider her shitty. I mean, fear of fucking blood as a ninja? lol...

And lol Karin... I can see her being proficient in weapons, enough to kick Ino's ass anyway. It'd be easy for Kishi to bring that to light, she could always be concealing shit that we never knew about. But I'm going to go ahead and just agree that she's probably fucking useless and Ino vs Karin will just cause an explosion of fail big enough to take out Tenten and Hinata (bitch better not have another life) as well in the process.

That's the thing. We don't know what Karin can truly do outside of what we've seen in a couple fights. Hell, I don't think she's had much time to do anything really. I doubt she's completely weak, or she wouldn't have been in charge of watching the Prisoners and what not. She seems like the Darkside of Sasuke complete with the "SWOON SASUKE I LUV U" crush and all.

Temari is the most badass of the females imo. That and she's Shikamaru's woman, and since Shikamaru = autowin, then Temari obviously falls into that category.

Konan was badass until it was revealed that she's a super softy for Pain at heart, so it ruined her. Tsunade is scared of blood. Hinata is... well.. yeah. NARUTO-KUN~~~~ Sakura and Ino have been bleh. Hell, at least Sakura's had some character development in Part 2 and is a LITTLE more useful. Not much about Karin's been out yet.

So yeah.. pretty much, Temari is the only badass chick. I guess Anko sort of is too when she's not angsting.

Indeed. She's grown so much more than the useless fuck in Part 1 though that's for sure. Sure she's worried about Sasuke here as well, but not nearly as much. That and the whole Naruto loving her deal may have a way in changing her as well... assuming she doesn't angst over him now. Ohgod. I wouldn't be able to take it.

We just need a knock-down dragout fight between every Naruto female. Ever.

Don't forget, we have the girl who Naruto let beat him up. Even though he didn't fight back she fucked him up pretty bad, pretty quickly. There's always potential with her too but just the brief amount of time we saw of her she seems like another would-be comedic relief with the rest of her group. There was also a super-serious girl in that group of three too, wasn't there? And then this Mizukage now, but I'm really skeptical about her since the whole Kisame calling Madara the Mizukage.

And fuck Konan. Fuck Pain. So much potential with those two to be on an upper tier of badassery and Naruto killed them with words. Fuck. That.

As far as the Mizukage thing, I think Madara may have been a former? Honestly, it's all so confusing. The current female Mizukage though probably has some skill, and she's quite scary when threatening a guy with the Byakagun.

The 5th Mizukage said that there were "rumors he (the 4th Mizukage) was being controlled". So basically Madara controlled the 4th Mizukage and thus for Kisame, who I think may have come from that country, would essentially hail him as such as that's probably how they met.
