Here's my half-assed translation of the spoiler:


Tsunade on the spine, Naruto and Sasuke on the cover(confronting one another, Sasuke has lifeless eyes)

Raikage caught white zetsu by his neck and asks him where Sasuke is.
Zetsu tells him 'It wouldn't hurt to give you a hint I guess~'
The second he says this his neck is broken with a loud sound, is he dead?
Mizukage goes 'Killing is off limits'
Everyone else is ordered to keep watching Hokage while others break through the wall to go look for Sasuke

Madara comes to where Naruto's sleeping and asks him if they could talk for a while but is attacked with rasengan in return
Kakashi and Yamato make appearance and seize Madara
'I just wanted to find out how you managed to change Nagato's beliefs so I only came here to talk' says Madara
Naruto tells him that it doesn't matter and asks where Sasuke is

Madara goes 'Fine, let's talk about Sasuke who had fallen into darkness and about this world of shinobi, permeated with hatred and revenge'
Without any hesitation Sasuke strikes down Samurais standing in his way who'd noticed the abnormality around them
Suigetsu looking at him and goes 'Why did you tell me not to kill, isn't that what you're doing now?'
Karin senses unusual 'darkness' and 'coldness' coming from Sasuke with her special ability
And then someone with insane amount of chakra appears

The chapter ends with Sasuke running into Raikage and his two underlings

Except how is Danzo controlling Sasuke when he hasn't even seen him yet? Plus from what they've mentioned of his sharingan's ability, Danzo doesn't actually control the person... he just inserts suggestions into the person's mind. From Sasuke's actions and Karin's description of an unusual darkness coming from Sasuke, it suggests something else is going on other than what Danzo's sharingan would do.

Even though he's brash and hypocritical, Raikage is fucking awesome. Just gets right down to business and breaks Zetsu's neck. Sincerely doubt that'll put that half of Zetsu down, but it's still sweet.

Intrigued to see what Madara is up to. At this point I put him as being a master manipulator similar to Danzo. If I had to guess, I'd think he is trying to create a huge rift between Naruto and Sasuke by showing/telling Naruto just how far Sasuke has fallen (aided by what Sasuke is doing now). Maybe to break the bond of the last person that truly believes in Sasuke and thus make it much easier to start a war?

And someone with insane chakra appears? Could it be Kisame making his return? Another new character? Zombie Obito?!?

edit: wonder if Itachi is going to spring a trap on Madara from what he did to Naruto like he did with Sasuke.

Seems the insane chakra person is the Raikage as mentioned. Either way, I wouldn't doubt if it's Madara. Seems the most likely. That or Danzou, even though it doesn't seem as likely. It's probably some plot no jutsu shit.

Either way, I'm annoyed. Of course Sasuke seems to be in a 'dark place' and is 'being controlled by someone' D: Also, GLAD TO SEE THE SAMURAI WERE USEFUL.

They would have been useful against any other foe but I mean come on they were up against a darkness controlled Sasuke, they had no chance.

Nah, it's most likely just Madara's doing. Like I said, Danzo has not had any contact or even eye contact with Sasuke, so he wouldn't have been able to manipulate him in anyway. And Sasuke going nuts and causing a ruckus probably is a part of his plan in some way. I'll admit though, it would be crazy if Danzo was behind it. "Shit, the kages are onto me and my sharingan... go Sasuke-puppet!"

And I'm somewhat annoyed with the "unusualness" of Sasuke here too. To me, this is coming off as a way for Sasuke to be "redeemed" in the future. In other words, he's being controlled and actually kills people, once he snaps out of it he realizes what he's done and how easily he was manipulated, and then works to try and make up for it.

Personally I'd prefer if the "darkness and coldness" that Karin was sensing WAS actually Sasuke, mainly because I want Sasuke to be the "final villain" for Naruto. He just finally snaps and gets down to what he went there to do, and it's just a feeling that Karin isn't used to sensing from Sasuke. I still have hope that this is the case, based on the little chuckle from him after realizing that Zetsu had abandoned them in the previous chapter.

iirc, didn't she say his chakra changed once before when he was fighting Jugo? Maybe it's something similar to that, if it's actually Sasuke she's talking about. Then again, it could always be Madara or someone random.

You're right, but I'm pretty sure that was because he used the cursed seal against Jugo.

I understand that much, I'm just saying it could be along the same line as that. Of course, Sasuke's emo-ness could be causing him to slowly turn into an emo-wristslashing-ninja, thus changing his chakra. My money is on Madara though, at the moment.

Why can't it be both of them? Itachi said Madara helped him with the purge of the clan and Uchiha Shisui(To awaken his MS), right? or maybe I don't remember exactly, would have to check in the manga. But now Danzo has Shisui's eye and arm, coincidence much.

I agree. While I like moral complexity where the good and the bad isn't that clear in plots where there is a clear good and bad (like Naruto) I think a real "fallen" character adds a lot. It shows that the straight and narrow path can't be taken for granted; that characters are flawed and temptation is strong.

I think most literature today is scared to have a good guy who goes irredeemably bad. So for once it would be nice to see someone succumbing to the dark side without a redeeming noble sacrifice at the end. And it would fit Sasuke better (he made the conscious choices to leave Konoha then to reject Itachi's path) than for him to heel face turn and go "lolJK guyz i'm over it nao"
