So from a Ninja world point of view, they are kept and not killed because they are a military advantage, like nukes in our modern world.

From the Nine tails view, he is simply bluffing, which although it seems out of character, would be the only explanation given the fact that if he dies the fox also dies.

Oh well, guess it's as simple as that then, yeah?

Now we all remember these two pages, it's obvious that Danzo used his Unnamed Mind-controlling Dōjutsu on them so that he'd become the "Acting Hokage" until Inaguration occurs.

The people at the Kage meeting found out that he was using his technique to control Mifune into making him the leader of the Kage Alliance thanks to Ao's Byukgan, so hopefully they are able to report it to the leaf village, so that they know that he was controlling the council at the village when they were deciding that Kakashi was suppose to be the 6th Hokage (see links above).

Apparently unique to Shisui Uchiha, this technique allows the user to control the mind of their opponent. It was a dōjutsu of the highest class, as the victim doesn't even realise they are being manipulated.

So yeah it's obvious that he used it at both the Village Council Meeting, and it's proven (by Ao) that he was using it at the Kage Meeting (on Mifune). Hell, who knows how many other times he's used this ability.

I doubt it. Don't their abilities only work if they're able to use some sort of jutsu on the target? Ino's anyway, maybe her dad can do it without being detected, but I think they're more along the lines of interrogators with their jutsu than they are mind-readers... if that makes sense.

I was just reading back on Sasuke v Deidara, and I found it funny how Madara was calling Deidara "senpai". I guess teaching yourself how to break out of the sharingan is a big deal, even to Madara.

This whole Yin and Yang thing is an interesting theory but the big question is, if this is true, "When the hell did it happen?" Sasuke was just a normal emo kid growing up depite being more gifted at ninja stuff than other kids.

If it makes you feel better, a normal ninja teaching himself to see through the sharingan really is a big deal.

And that was a good point brought up about Danzo most likely using his sharingan technique to "sway" the council when deciding on an interim hokage. I hadn't thought of that when his sharingan ability was outted, but it seems very likely that Danzo manipulated them by using it.

Makes you wonder, though, why he didn't use the ability sooner... like after the 3rd was killed, for example.

I think opinion was pretty strong for Jiraiya at first, but since he didn't want it, it fell upon Tsunade. I guess compared to Kakashi, the reputation of a Sannin was worth more. Plus Konoha wasn't nearly as in bad shape after Orochimaru attacked compared to Pain.
