Tsuchikage said that getting in the way of the Raikage's solo fight would most likely get others hurt or injured, because Raikage is fighting Sasuke to avenge Killerbee, so they are staying upstairs to watch Danzou. In my opinion, Danzou should be greatful to have all these other Kage sorta protecting him from Sasuke (if he reaches that room).

Yeah I know they were told that, but having one of the strongest S-class criminals within their reach, and they're just leaving it to one guy? It makes sense from a writing standpoint to have Sasuke only face off against one of them, otherwise it'd be even more bullshit for him to be able to stand up against more than one Kage (and I'm sure Kishimoto is at least aware of the general consensus that his constant plot-no-jutsu with keeping Sasuke alive is terrible). I guess I just sort of expect the leader of a village to be a bit more willing to get injured, etc., for the sake of taking Sasuke out lol.

I think its moreso cause they all think Sasuke has no chance at all vs Raikage. Even Danzou seems to think so, as they were talking about retrieving Sasuke's eyes instead of how to take him out.

I wonder if this means that Naruto is actually fairly closely related to Tsunade. Seems odd though that they never brought up the 4th being a descendant of Senju. Kishi seems to just be pulling at straws to make sense of all this craziness. I still think some how Naruto is going to make Sasuke "repent" even if it means either Naruto or Sasuke dying.

Naruto isn't a descendant of the Senju. Madara just mentioned that Naruto reminds him of Hashirama and that he inherited his will of fire much like Sasuke inherited the Uchiha's hatred.

As for the other kage's, they aren't staying around to protect Danzo... it's more to keep an eye on him so that he doesn't try another stunt like when he was influencing Mifune. While their general consensus is that the Raikage should be able to deal with Sasuke, they also want to be able to control Danzo. Plus most of the other kages besides Gaara (who I suspect will make his way down to the fight eventually) have other reasons for not going (Tsuchikage not wanting to break a hip and generally being manipulative in his own right, Mizukage sticking around to back up her jonin since leaving just Ao to watch over Danzo and his 2 jonin wouldn't be wise, Danzo obviously under house arrest).

Maybe Naruto really isn't descended from clan Senju.

Madara described him as having Hashirama's spririt, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're related.

But on the other hand, it was never detailed how far the Senju clan's roots stretched. Minato and Naruto maybe a distant branch on the family tree.
