Now from what we know the rinnegan is considered a myth in Naruto. At least until now so any ideas about the eye techniques coming from rinnegan would be considered false.
Now take a comparison of what most know in universe about the sharringan and byakugan.
They're genetic.
Byakugan seems to dispel gengutsu, see through everything,and the most badass of em can completely block a person's chakra.
Sharringan (supersaiyan) can copy people's moves and gives the user better reflexes.
So regular sharringan seems kinda weak vs byakugan.


Sharringan lv 2 is a bit better, might be known to some and is basically a wee bit better. Eg it's when sasuke got 3 things on his eye instead of 2 duing the fight vs naruto.

Mangekyou sharringan(Super saiyan 3) is basically unknown outside of the uchia clan in general,highly secret to the point that the things it can do that people even KNEW of aren't even associated with it(aka orichimaru finding out the sword he was looking for came from it), seems to insist on killing the user, etc etc etc. It's rare enough for Madara to treasure a person being able to use it and rescue Sasuke which says something when he didn't even get off his ass to save a freakin rinnegan user.

So basically from what isn't top secret knowledge in the ninja world all we know is that the byakugan seems to kick the sharringan's ass.It can do some stuff that the byakugan cant but it's also weaker in range than the byakugan which makes it weaker. The byakugan also seems to specialize in actually seeing chakra which is what everyone thought the sharringan was for.
So therefore the people in naruto could have assumed that the sharringan was some weird mutation of the byakugan when it really wasn't.

Frankly though i think madara is what i like to call "batshit insane" and the info we get from him is accurate in his deluded mind but not so much in reality. He's quite obsessed with the supposed chains of hatred that really only exist because the clan believes in it. If Hatred of the Senjuu clan was really true then Sasuke would have been somehow even more of a jackass to everyone before he ditched the village without knowing clan history. He would have hated the village just for existing before he got some bullshit reason to go along with. Hell Kakashi wouldnt have gotten an eye if there was some sort of inborn hatred since tobi was more than old enough to know the clan history or pickup on some of it.

But really, I don't understand your logic in some of your points. I don't think hatred could be genetic (I'm not really even sure if you're suggesting this by saying Sasuke would've been a dick to people before leaving) -- sure, maybe in Narutoworld it could be, but I really don't see that being something Kishimoto would even implant into the series. For all we know and can assume, this entire supposed hatred that the Uchiha have for the Senju clan could have been kept a secret for the sake of the newer generation to prevent exactly what's happening to Sasuke. Just like Itachi wanted to protect the village from hating Sasuke (by setting it up so Sasuke may look like the hero who killed Itachi), the Uchiha could have very well kept the whole bitter rivalry thing a thing of the past.

Also, it's not something I disagree with you about, maybe could even be considered an agreement, but I think Madara didn't bother saving Pain because he knew he was weak-minded in the sense that all it would take is Naruto's super-encouraging words to make him have a change of heart. Pain initially had the same ideals as Madara as far as creating a peaceful world, but Madara (since he's apparently the super villain super-genius) probably knew that in the end, the way of going about achieving their perfect worlds would differ quite a bit. Not only that, but Madara could have very well seen that as a threat and allowed Pain to be defeated to avoid having to deal with someone as strong as Pain really was.


Damnit, I really just want Kishimoto to come out of nowhere and explain the whole situation with the Byakugan, if only so Neji gets some more "screen time."

it just seemed like Pain was something beyond Kage. he flattened a fucking city in the blink of an eye and then undid it all. and naruto managed to beat him (with a little help).

It was accepted that Jiraiya was kage level, and he was killed without doing a whole lot of damage to Pain. I think it was also accepted that some of the other Akatsuki members were Kage level, or at least close to it.

There is no telling how strong nagato was. He could bring back the dead.

The blue haired chick also said using the resurrection jutsu after using up so much chakra would be too extreme for him which made it sound like if he didn't get so exhausted from his fight that reviving the dead was simple for the rinnigan.

Also for all we know madara isn't even that strong. He is just super evasive. He mentioned once that if he didn't keep everything from itatchi that he would have been killed. So either itatchi was stupid fucking strong or madara is not as strong as we all think. Remember he did lose to the first.

Yeah the hatred isnt genetic but Madara has been going on as if it's the destiny of all uuchia to hate the Senju clan no matter what with Sasuke's retarded "DESTROY ALL KOHANA" idea being corroborating evidence.
As far as the clan keeping it a secret from everyone then how exactly was Sasuke the only one in his village that didn't know of the rebellion? Do they get told of it once they get a sharringan?(obito was teased/mocked for not having one yet so that could be it?) How is it that obito didn't pickup on anything being said by others even in passing? Where is the implied racism vs by the clans? While it is true we only see the "nice" people of kohana we don't even see a single person have a mild dislike of a guy based on anyone being an uchiha. If Obito loved Rin why wasn't he ostracized even more for simply liking a member of a different clan?
Even with the tiny bit of evidence we have the "hatred" just doesn't seem to add up. Unless every single uchiha clan member we've seen was an aberration I guess?
I still think Madara is just projecting his own hatred as the clan's. There obviously was some resentment to put it mildly based on the fact that the clan was going to start a civil war but I think it was more a cultural resentment instead of a destiny to hate due to some bad decisions. The entire clan kicked out Madara for continuing his hatred of the clans when a treaty was started. Where was the hatred then?

the only thing i dont like is... everyone is too fucking strong lol. that fight with pein seems so petty now compared to the powers that just touched the surfaces of the hokages and they havent even gone to their full form yet (expept the black guy). when the series 1st came out, villians like haku couldve been strong enough to give gaara a run for his money(not win obviously) and they used more strategy than anything. now one villian is just more insignificant than the next over and over lol. i really hope they bring back the old school ways of doing things.

thats why my fav fight in the series is still rock lee vs gaara. no way in hell rock lee was supposed to go that far in that fight. if you stood both of them next to eachother, gaara woulda smashed him. but rock lee went in with his plan and his secret weights and fucked him up. he went out with a bang lol. not really something youll see nowadays ; well idk, thats just my opinion

Word. This is why I love the Shikamaru fights. He's not the strongest guy, but he's got a good chance against most opponents. Even Naruto has started stepping up, and likes to use strategy to win fights, albeit half the time it's just Kyuubi Rage.

134 sounds like the start of filler, but hopefully it will be short filler. Sasuke vs. Itachi is in the opening after all, so it should at least start during this season.

Although they'll probably have to start up a huge block of filler soon, as they're getting pretty close to catching up. I'm just not sure when they could fit it in. Would be awkward for Jiraiya to die and then have Naruto not find out about it for 8 months. They could probably squeeze a little bit of filler out of the sage training.

Episodes 136-215 is the HUGE filler arc in Naruto Part 1. Watch Episodes 216-220, they aren't bad at all because you get to see Garaa/Temari/Kankuro fighting, and they get a "favor" returned. You won't know what the 'favor' is though until you watch episodes 106-135 though, so watch those then skip to 216 and watch til 220 (last episode). Then you can start watching Shippuden .

Not really fun, but in the Bikochu beetle arc, you get to see Hinata taking a shower naked under a waterfall, and Naruto farts, and messes up their mission (you'll see what I mean), Hinata actually uses a nice Gentle Fist move that only she can use. The only fillers in Part 1 worth watching though is the ones I mentioned, 216-220 (the last 5 episodes), but you have to watch 106-135 first to understand why 216-220 are significant .


Edit: I also liked the Hidden Star Village Arc, but I forget what episodes those are...

Edit: There's also an arc where Naruto and Lee fights a guy who uses lightning rod weapons and his chakra to beat them with the lightning from a thunderstorm. (Similar to a Jutsu Sasuke will use later in the series, you get a preview of what it's like here). He's one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist (but he's not mentioned in the manga)

You can't really fault someone for losing against the Shodaime.

Shodaime was able to win against the complete version of the Kyuubi AND an eternal mangekyo user. Even if Madara wasn't that strong (doubtful), having to deal with someone firing off Amaterasu and plow through a Susano defense while fighting the Kyuubi?

Put it in perspective... Pain couldn't even handle half of the Kyuubi with his most powerful technique, and the Yondaime only beat the Kyuubi with a life sacrificing seal. Shodaime is easily the most powerful ninja in the Narutoverse to date.

As far as Itachi goes, Madara said that he's severely weakened at this point after battling the Shodaime. I think the meaning was that Itachi knew Madara's weakpoints and had lots of contingency plans (planting Amaterasu to ignite upon seeing Madara's sharingan)

They showed one big picture (that took up two pages) in some chapter recently lemme find it, but if Kishi can do a huge flashback or Chronicle (like Kakashi Gaiden) type arc, then I'll be happy, because it would then get animated!!!
